a walk on the silicone shore
Gel Sensual from Oceanus is a silicone based lube which is fairly thick. While the bottle could be engineered better, the lube itself is impressively long lasting. Folks who love long fucks and don’t use many silicone toys will enjoy it.

Pros
long lasting, thick.
Cons
may be too thick for some, dispenser is hard to use while lubed up.
When I think of the ocean, I think of cool waves washing over me and leaving my skin damp and slightly salty. I think of sand getting into crevices where it shouldn’t, but where it will remain until I take a shower or engage in a painfully obvious wedgie adjustment. I don’t really think of lube. Nonetheless, when Oceanus came a’knocking, I answered the door, all decked out in my board shorts and ready to go.
Contrary to what the name Oceanus might lead you to believe, Gel Sensual is a silicone based, not water based, lube. Go figure. It comes in a handy bottle with a pop off cap that reveals a squirt bottle top. Fatal flaw warning: the squirt top takes a real push to activate and is sunk into the bottle in such a way that made it hard to resquirt once I was already lubed up. It also squirts out (as in, horizontally, more or less) as opposed to down, meaning that reapplying became a two hand job rather than the one-hander you can pull with a squirter that you can push down with a thumb and cup the lube with your palm. So, Oceanus, the bottle? Not so ship shape.
Nonetheless, great things have been known to come in imperfect packages. So I grabbed a non-silicone toy (because silicone lube and silicone toys don’t mix well—keep them apart, or use a condom between the lube and the toy), in this case, the Alumina Flow, and lubed up. As I put spread the lube on my own bits and on Alumina Flow, I could already feel how much thicker it was than the water based stuff that I’m used to. There was a heartiness to this lube that I wasn’t used to. All slicked up, I slid Alumina into me and went for a ride. A kinda sticky ride. See, though ye old Gel Sensual felt slippery, I found that it tended to stick to itself and provide a little more friction than I’m used to. Almost more like how oil paints feel on your hands than how lube normally feels. For me, Gel Sensual was just a little bit too thick.
With that said, its thickness was good for one thing: this lube has staying power. I mean, we’re talking the Brady Bunch marriage type of staying power. Not only did a little lube go a long way in my jerking off, but it went a long way through my shower. Yes, that’s right, I had to scrub specifically at it before it would part from my all too excited body. On the one hand, it was kind of annoying to have to go to that much trouble to get it off. On the other hand, there’s no doubt in my mind that this lube can go the distance for those of you who want a long fuck. So, hey, Gel Sensual, way to go.
