A Lot of Slick From a Little Bottle
Sliquid swirl is a great, affordable, go-to lube for those looking to add a little extra lubrication to their sex life that will feel just like the real thing. It also lends itself well to any kind of toy play, and as it does dry up, it will not leave any sticky or tacky residue.

Pros
mild taste and smell, does not get sticky, affordable, feels natural
Cons
dries up, will wash away too quickly for water play, not thick enough for anal
Sliquid Swirl is one of the safer and more agreeable water based lubes on the market right now in my opinion. It is glycerin and paraben free, which leaves the only drawback to the aspartame included in this flavored version. It is condom safe, and safe with any toy material you can imagine.
I chose the Pina Colada flavor, and found the smell to be a little overwhelming when I first opened the bottle, but the smell and the taste are very light and true to description once applied. There was no odd aftertaste or strange tongue-tingling sensation I’ve experienced with other flavored lubes.
I’ve used this lube many times with my toys, and what I love about water based lubes like Sliquid is that if I decide to switch toys and go from something made of plastic to TPR or silicone, I’m still safe and don’t need to give it any thought. When placed on my body or a toy, it stays put really well for something with such a thin mildly gel-like consistency. It also provides much more slickness than some others I’ve tried – a little really does go a long way with this product. This means that the 4.2 oz bottle will last you quite a while, even when used regularly. It is also small enough to carry with you.
Since it is flavored, and enjoyably so, this lube is suited very well for oral sex. However, I’ve found the best use for it to be adding a little extra slickness to help in vaginal sex. It lends itself very well to making skin on skin or skin on latex much easier and more comfortable, while still feeling like natural lubrication. And like all water based lubricants, Sliquid Swirl will dry out on you but it does not get sticky when it does so. If it dries out, it seems to just disappear, and will require reapplication (the bottle also suggests adding water but I just add more lube), but with solo and partner sex I have not experienced any of that sticky drag feeling that so many water based lubes leave behind.
Since it is water based, it will wash off your skin and your toys very easily and while I have very sensitive skin, I have had absolutely no irritation from this lubricant at all. However, it washing away so easily makes it less than ideal for play in any water situation. I also would not recommend it for use with anal, because it will dry up in about ten minutes and that area is just too delicate to go without lube.

I still use this product when I want something with flavor. Since I don't use it for everyday toy play or penetration, there is still plenty left. The scent and flavor haven't changed at all over time, nor has the consistency.

Thank you for viewing Swirl lube – lubricant discontinued review page!
I looove Pina Coladas. You said the taste/smell are "very light," so I was wondering... does it really taste like Pina Colada? And how long does this taste/smell last?
Also, with something that has to be reapplied kinda frequently, I'd like to know more about the packaging. Is it easy to dispense the lube? Does the bottle get slippery?
Thanks!!
I have yet to try Sliquid's lubricants, but this review further convinces me I should give it a try. Thanks.
@kck- it tastes more like pineapple than actual pina colada but it's really very pleasant and in my experience both the taste and smell lasts until the lube has been dried up or licked off entirely. Also, it comes in a container with the top where you push one side down and the other pops up - I have no idea what it's called. It comes out easily and the bottle is squeezable, but both the bottle and label will get slippery if you get the lube on them.
Sounds yummy.
