A Lack of Synergy
In brief, Synergy was not the lube that we expected. While I would recommend trying one of Wet's other lube lines (Original or Platinum), this one did not live up to our expectations. It also succumbed to the downfalls of both water and silicone-based lubes.

Pros
Thick texture makes it easy to place lube where you want it, condom-safe lube, attractive packaging
Cons
Negatives of both H2O-based (multiple applications) and silicone-based (gummy texture) lubes.
We picked up Wet Synergy lubricant because we were familiar with the Wet brand and were very happy with several of their older products, like Wet Original (a water-based lube that my girlfriend and I used often during intercourse), and Wet Platinum (a silicone-based lube that did a really good job reducing friction and my choice for any kind of manual stimulation, but was a pain to clean up afterwards - we would often find slippery areas in our nether-regions for days after use).
The idea behind this product is smart: combine the ease of use of a water-based lube with the extra viscosity of a silicone-based lube. In addition, this lube presents itself in the form of a gel versus a runny liquid. Also, the combination of two condom-safe lube ingredients is a really big plus.
The gel itself was a great idea - it's really easy to place it where you need it. Just a little bit on the finger, work it around, and voila, ready to go.
However, we were disappointed at most everything after that. While it was easy to apply and control portions, it seemed like we needed a lot more to get the regular amount of lubrication that makes us comfortable. In addition, it does not last as long as pure silicone-based lube. I found that we had to reapply it after only a few minutes, and again a few minutes later. The lube also started to turn a bit gummy. This made it uncomfortable for my girlfriend, even after a few applications.
Using this lube for solo use would not be recommended either, as it quickly turned to a gummy/tacky texture, unless that is something that you are into...
In any case, this lube currently resides in the back of the drawer. We rarely use it anymore, except during the rare situation that we are out of another kind.
