When There's No Marsupial In Sight
If your toys are breaking, collecting dust or getting lost under the bed then the toy pouch might just be a good solution for you. With its solid construction, I would even trust it in the washing machine!

Pros
Big enough for most toys, quality, cords stay tied, won't leave lint on toys, plush.
Cons
Could be larger.
I've been collecting toys long enough to have a glass piece which came with no storage, silicone pieces which pick up lint like crazy and some toys which have multiple pieces and keeping track of them is just no fun. This is exactly why the Toy Pouch comes in handy and, at only a fraction of the price of similar pieces, it much friendlier on the wallet.
The toy pouch comes in purple or black "faux suede," also known as microfiber. I can see why it would be called false suede, it is like but definitely is not suede. It almost has a feel between fleece and microfiber. The pink satin lining of the pouch is 100% polyester, too. I prefer this over a cotton lining because it will not shed lint on a toy; although, it could develop a snag or run and the satin may "grab" as certain materials. In between those layers is a third, made of cotton. All this information is available on a tag sewn into the inside as well. The overall pouch is slightly plush but not ridiculously stuffed to the gills like some other toy pouches I've had (such as those which come with Don Wands Toys). It's also thicker than velour or satin style pouches to offer a bit more padding.
The construction also seems sturdy. There are no loose threads or edges on any of the materials and the thread which is used matches the colour of the material (although the lining contrasts nicely with the outside). Additionally, the cords which cinch are tightly wound/braided, tied and melted at the end to prevent fraying. They are thick enough to grasp easily and can be tied in several ways. The pouch cinches and opens smoothly.
Just to test the cords, I crossed and looped one end of cord under the other (like the first step in tying a shoe) and shook the bag upside down. This extremely loose "knot" didn't even slip a bit. I think the twisted style of the cords helps keep them tight.
Although there are no specific instructions for washing, I bet the Toy Pouch would survive the washing machine on gentle cycle and probably even normal cycle. It would probably be best to let it air dry, however. Of course, surface spills and stains could be wiped away with a wet cloth.
At 10 1/2" x 4 3/4", the Toy Pouch is sizeable, too. Completely cinched, it looes about 1" of space but you don't have to close it tightly. Most insertable vibrators will fit or a number of smaller, ergonomic vibrators. Many dildos will fit but pieces with large bases of realistic testicles may be a tight squeeze. However, the toy pouch can be turned semi-inside out and then folded over a larger toy or one of a stickier material which might otherwise "catch" on the lining.
As you can guess, most rabbits will not find their home in this toy pouch and the same can be said for double dongs, wand style massagers etc. However, a Petite Couture Rabbit by California Exotics just fits. The toy pouch is large enough to use to keep your like pieces together. For instance you could use it to hold cuffs, a blindfold, connectors and maybe even a ball gag. Currently, I use it to store the Boss vibrator by Fun Factory.
So, if someone ran across the (empty) pouch in your laundry or on the counter, you could claim it is some sort of gift or wine bag. I guess you actually could use it for those purposes but it is the pricier option.
The Toy pouch comes without any packaging or instructions. While I am not a fan of overly bulky or wasteful packaging, I accidentally threw away the first toy pouch I purchased because it was difficult to see amidst several pieces of bubble wrap. A layer or tissue paper, a plastic bag, or even just a white tag would have been so helpful because if you get a toy pouch in a package with other toys, it is incredibly easy to overlook.
Overall, the toy pouch is a good investment. It might be nice to see alternative sizes for larger or smaller toys or even styles (although the pink and black combination is a winner in my book!) but it is a basic product which is solidly constructed and almost everyone could use it in their collection.

Thank you for viewing Toy pouch – storage container discontinued review page!
great review!
Heh.
Good review, as always!
But I guess Mr Sauce stole all the kangaroos and that explains my dilemma in the first place.
Carrie Ann, most of the bags I have with toys are okay but not amazing or anything.
What color is the inside tho? It looks pinkish, but is it red? Or is it really pink?
