The Liberator Safari Throe is great for having sex on, but not so great for covering up with. On one side you have a very soft, velvety, animal print micro-fiber, and on the other side you have a smooth, silky, black satin. I was surprised to find that both sides were very cool to the touch. Even when stored in a warm room, both sides of this throw seem to stay cool. In the middle of this throw, there is what they call a "protective water barrier." This protective lining makes this throw waterproof in the sense that liquid does not go through to the other side. It does not actually dry up any kind of liquid that you get on the throw.

The main purpose and use for this throw is to protect your sheets during sex. It is also great for having sex on the floor or even outdoors. I found it can also be useful for those with babies. You can place it on the floor for them to crawl on, and you don’t have to worry about if they spill something or get food on it. Also, when being used on the floor, it does not so much provide cushion, just protection from the ground.

Even though this is a versatile product, personally, I thought this was going to be something I would keep on my bed all the time. I thought I would be able to use this to cover up with at night, and if I wanted to have sex on it, it would be there. Instead, it is something I keep stored and only bring out when I plan to use it. On the plus side, it does fold up nicely, which makes it very easy to store in a closet or even a dresser drawer.

While this is not something you want to use to cover up with, it in no way effected my rating on this product. It could also just be a personal thing, and others might find it very comfortable. I, on the other hand, found it to be entirely too thin and stiff to actually cuddle underneath it, though it is quite nice to lie on the side with the animal print due to the coolness and how soft it is. Also, because of the waterproof lining inside of this throw, it does have a noise level. If you are using it on a hard surface, it’s not so much of an issue, but if you’re using it on a cushioned surface, there can be a little noise factor.

The Liberator Safari Throe is also very travel friendly, and while the throw itself is discreet, the packaging is not. So take that into consideration when opening your package. You can remove the non-discreet insert from the packaging and keep the rest for storing your throw.

Washing instructions: Simply wash it by itself, or with dark colors in cold water on delicate cycle. Then tumble dry on low heat. Do not iron or use bleach when caring for this throw.

The size of this throw is great and worked for me perfectly! I have a full sized bed, and it covers my bed almost completely.

I wanted to add a little bit of information about the animal print on this throw. While it photographs as a zebra print, it actually is not completely black and white. It does have faint, tan stripes that makes it more similar to a tiger rather than a zebra. I was expecting it to be black and white, so I was a bit surprised when I first opened it.

The Liberator Safari Throe has been a great purchase! It truly is made of great quality and has held up very nice after many washes. The threading is very well done and I have had no problems with any of threading coming undone. The color has also held up very well and there are no signs of fading which I think is great. A lot of times when you wash black items they tend to fade, but my Liberator Safari Throe is still a deep, shiny black. I also thought that maybe after a few washes the lining inside the throw wouldn't make as much noise, but it is still just as loud as it was the day I got it. I will say, that is the only downfall with this throw, other than that, it's a great throw that I would recommend to just about anyone.
