There are many reviews for the Throe, so to continue to add to the usefulness and interest of all who are considering this blanket, I have decided to go out of the box a little and write about the many uses for the Throe.

How many ways can you use this blanket? More ways than I could ever list!! I tried to list some of the more useful and less thought of uses for the Fascinator Posh Throe. Put your imagination to work and see how many other uses you can come up with for this lovely blanket!

The material on the front looks and feels like velveteen. It is soft and plush, but has a shorter length then velvet. This is made from 42% Nylon, 38% Polyester and 20% Cotton. I like having this side up when using it on the floor, but down when using it on the bed. The satin slips easier on the bed that the velveteen side.

The middle is supple, but has a crinkly sound until the blanket has been washed about 3-4 times. I am not sure what the material is in the middle layer.

The Satin side is soft, thinner satin and is made from 100% Polyester. This side is slippery and can add to your experience. I noticed a lot of people did not like the slippery and sliding of the blanket--however, my husband and I decided to have fun with this. We placed it on the floor and used the slipperiness to move all over the place without getting rug burn. Worked great and the ability to scoot was unique.

I do not notice any shedding from the velveteen side, and the black color has not faded at all. This is a very worthwhile and useful investment for us. I love using this blanket!! I keep it on a couch, this is discreet and not noticeable as being used for sex.

***I use mattress garters to keep the throe in place on our bed. You can buy these at any Walmart or bedding center. They have a clip on both ends, like a garter clip, that attaches to the blanket, you then run the garter around a corner of the mattress and attach the other side.

The Throe was wonderful at keeping the bed dry...as long as you hit the blanket!! The edges allowed some of the liquids to run off and dampen the foot of the bed, but that is not too big of an issue for me. I am short and do not reach the foot of the bed anyways, this was on my side so it did not affect my husband either.

When using this blanket for child care, it is a great and washable option that is also pretty and soft against their skin. I have had no leakage issues, and the crinkly noise has disappeared with a couple more washings.

This is a necessary addition to your collection if you are messy or squirt like I do. It will save many extra washes of blankets, sheets, etc. that you would ordinarily have had to do without this protecting your bed. It also is very nice as a covering for the bed, and adds some style to your bedroom decor.

When you wash your Throe, you can use the wash machine but a bit of care does need to be taken. Make sure the wash cycle is on either the 'Delicate' or 'Gentle' cycle. Use ONLY cold water and a mild detergent. Do NOT use any bleach or wash this with lighter colors. If you do not have any dark colors, you may want to wash this separately.

You can tumble dry the Throe on Low heat in the dryer. Do NOT iron the blanket. I admit, though, I do put a towel in between the iron and the satin side and iron it a bit on Low heat as well. I love drying mine outside in the fresh air. Or at least I do when our weather is warm enough.

Prior to storing this in a box lined with the paper from EF pascking, I spray this lightly with Dona Linen Spray. This does a lot to help keep it fresh between uses.

This makes a wonderful baby shower gift. Just remove the paper insert prior to gift giving!!
