Spread 'Em Wider!
This was a satisfactory purchase that while I'm glad I made it I think the design could be a bit better (like maybe have a hole near the ends of the adjustable pegs that a small lock could slip through to keep it from going anywhere), that being said, its good but not exemplary. If you're looking for some variety in your restraints cache this may be perfect though and I still recommend it if you can look past the flaw about its secondary attachment points.

Pros
Solid construction save for the pins in the center, metal, does the job satisfactorily.
Cons
Fingerprint magnet, may eventually become easy to escape
I've been waiting a long long time to have a spreader bar to call my own, they truly are staples in a good BDSM toy box so when I found the Adjustable Spreader Bar by Kinklab available on EF I knew I had to have it so ordered it up lickity split.
Fast-forward 2 weeks (ish) and the giant box of goodies arrived, it was quite wide! I tore the box open and claimed my treasure which came with no packaging (fully put together already) except for a tag declaring it was from KinkLab and what it was with a scantily clad girl on the tag. The first thing I noticed was that unfortunately this doesn't come with any spring-loaded clips for attaching anything, all you get is the spreader itself so plan ahead and fetch some double-ended spring-loaded clips from the hardware store before this arrives as you *cannot* slide the normal kind through the loops at the end, only the ones in the center attached to the 'locking sliders'.
The spreader is made of shiny shiny metal that tends to attract fingerprints very easily, I think it would be safe to say that if you wipe this down with water that you need to thoroughly dry it very quickly afterward; as it may rust otherwise.
The ends screw off (takes a while to do, they're quite a long type of screw. The entire bar can be taken apart by yanking the 'keys' in the center of the bar out and pulling the shaft(s) apart from each other. Although the way you have to do that worries me that eventually they'll become so loose (they have gotten easier to yank out) that the rings attached to them will become null and void (as in if the person you have spread pulls them while attached to said rings the bar will become quite escapable which means you may want to attach your victi--errr, captiv---I mean, partner's hands elsewhere so they can't pull the pins out).
The spreader adjusts from the default 25" which is just a little bit spread all the way to 37" which is really a hobbling-required width, there are 3 settings, 25", 31" and 37" although you can choose to only move one side a hole over raising that to 6 settings of various lengths.
Overall it works decently, the one problem I found was that the bar tends to choose to rest in front or behind your legs instead of between them like in the picture of the tag; still, this is a solidly built spreader and a good addition to any toy box.

Follow-up commentary
3 months after original review
While this is fun to use, the pegs that hold the sizing you choose together are slowly wearing down since I take it apart for storage on a regular basis; something I was concerned about in my initial review and I seem to have been right about. It still works, just gotta be a bit careful I suppose.
