The Reflections ben wa balls by Doc Johnson are my favorite kegel exercisers so far. They are high quality, made of body-safe material, and are very ascetically pleasing! These balls can be used just about anywhere. They are worn inside the vagina, usually as an exerciser but can also be used for temperature play or worn to stimulate arousal. They are made of glass which does make them heavier than most silicone or plastic kegel exercisers. Therefore, if you have never used a vaginal exerciser before, I would suggest trying something in a lighter material first. This product should only be used vaginally; don't put them in your bum! The glass balls are very slippery when lubricated and there is no type of retrieval cord to pull the balls out.

These ben wa balls are made of glass which rates a 10 on the safety scale. There is no smell or taste, and no need to worry about a chemical cocktail entering your body. Glass is wonderful because it is non-porous, can be boiled to sanitize, and can be used for temperature play. It is just about as safe and sanitary as you can get when picking a material for your sex toys. This glass in particular is very smooth and durable. The balls are so silky smooth that they glide easily inside the vagina without even having to use a lubricant. They are also very comfortable while in use. I sometimes nearly forget that I am wearing them!

The design of this product is very simple, but is also fantastic! The ben wa balls are very smooth and
easy to insert. The size may be a bit large for beginners with a 1 1/4" diameter, but the glass texture makes them easy to use. These are very discreet and would be easy to travel with. The balls are glass with a flower inside each one so they just look like large marbles. They come with a small reusable bag which makes them suitable for travel.

The only issue some users may have with the ben wa balls is the lack of a retrieval cord. Many vaginal exercise balls are connected to each other and have some type of cord for easier retrieval. If you are used to using the type with a cord it may take a few times of using the Reflections ben wa balls to get the hang of removing them. First and most importantly, you should try to consciously relax your vaginal muscles. Sometimes relaxing and just a small push is enough for the first ball to come out. However, if your vagina is anything like mine, the second ball will be a bit harder to push out. This one tends to get lodged at the top of my vagina just behind the curve. When I am having a hard time getting it to come out it helps to put one foot up on something like I am putting in a tampon. I suppose the position helps to release the ball from behind the curve in my vagina. If it still will not come out, I just keep the second ball in for a while and it works itself back down my vaginal canal, and I just have to push a little to get it out.

If used frequently, ben wa balls can help to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. They are particularly useful for pregnant women or women who have previously had children. Also, regular kegel exercise can increase stimulation during sex. I use my ben wa balls almost every other day and I can already feel a difference in my kegel muscles. The balls are comfortable enough to use on a daily basis if desired.

Caring for glass toys is very simple. These ben wa balls come with a small storage bag to keep them in while not in use. This product can be boiled or bleached for sanitation, or can simply be cleaned with soap and warm water. They are also dishwasher safe. Glass is non-porous so it will not hold on to unwanted bacteria as long as you keep it clean before and after use. All lubricants are free game for this toy because glass is compatible with each type of lubricant. Make sure to sanitize the balls if you share them with a partner.

The Reflections ben wa ball come in a nicely decorated plastic box and also include a small black storage bag. The bag is not padded in any way to protect the glass, but is still nice for keeping the balls together in one place. The packaging for this product is not discreet. You can see the product through the clear plastic box. However, the product itself could be easily passed off for something other than it really is if discretion is necessary. The box includes tips for use and maintenance of the ben wa balls, but no additional manuals are included.

These were my second pair of ben wa balls, and my first glass ones. I love glass dildos, so I really wanted to give these a try and I'm glad I did! I feel great about glass being such a safe material and I do not have to worry about having strange plastics inside my body. These balls are heavy, but I am not sure how they compare to other sets. I have not been using vaginal exercisers for long, but I have no problem keeping these in. In fact, sometimes it is hard to get my muscles to let go of them when I want to take them out. I would much rather spend extra time removing the balls than settle for a set with plastic. Silicone is a great option as well, but there is just something I love about glass. In my opinion, I feel like my muscles get a better work out holding onto the smooth glass than they do with silicone. I use my ben wa balls every day when I remember to and I feel like my pelvic muscles are already strengthening. I just had a baby four months ago, so it was important to me to find a good vaginal exerciser to get my parts back in order after childbirth. I have found a reliable product that I can feel safe putting in my body and they are so pretty too!
