The Luna Mini Pleasure Bead System is a vaginal exerciser made by LELO. The set comes with interchangeable kegel balls that can be inserted into a silicone harness with five different weight options based on your preference and experience level. Because of their petite size, LELO recommends these for women under 30 who have never experienced vaginal childbirth, though those who have had children or those over 30 may also find these useful if they find other vaginal exercisers to be too large.

The balls are intended to exercise the pelvic floor muscles when worn, which support the pelvic organs. When done regularly, kegel exercises can strengthen these muscles, which can help with incontinence issues and strengthen orgasms. Though men can do kegels as well, these balls are designed for vaginal use and are not safe for anal insertion.

The harness for this set is made of white silicone. It has a matte texture and some drag, so you may want to use a little bit of water-based lube when inserting. The balls are transparent plastic in light blue and light pink shades to help you distinguish the weights. They are totally smooth in texture and you can see the metal balls that give weight to the balls through the plastic. There is a string through one of the pink balls and one of the blue balls, which appears to be some sort of fiber--my guess is nylon or polyester, but I could not find this information to verify.

The length from one end of the harness to the other is about 3", and they are 1-1/8" in diameter. Their petite size will make insertion easy for beginners and comfortable for most users. The balls can be used in the harness one at a time or two at a time for a total of 5 different weight combinations. LELO suggests one ball at a time for true beginners.

The light pink balls weigh 28 grams and the light blue balls weigh 37 grams, so the give configurations are:

One pink ball: 28 grams

One blue ball: 37 grams

Two pink balls: 56 grams

One pink ball, one blue ball: 65 grams

Two blue balls: 74 grams

I have Smart Balls and Ophoria K Balls, and these are much easier to insert than either of those sets. On the other hand, with the heaviest balls in, they're a more challenging workout than the K Balls or Smart Balls. I'd consider myself an advanced user and I had to use my PC muscles quite a bit to keep the heaviest balls in. One tip I'd give is to not use too much lube because these may slide right out. I tried these at one point after sex and really struggled to keep the heaviest pair in, whereas I'm able to easily keep in Smart Balls or K Balls when wet.

One thing I really didn't like about these is how loud they are. I would not wear these in public for that reason, because you can easily hear the metal balls clanking against the inside of the plastic balls. They're fine for use around the house but I'd tend to use my Smart Balls or K Balls in public.

I haven't noticed any improvement in the time of my muscles yet, but I do believe that these will be helpful since there are different weight levels. I don't think I'll be cracking walnuts with my vagina any time soon, but I feel like I'm well on my way to stronger orgasms.

Besides strengthening your muscles, the metal balls rolling around inside feels fantastic. I like to wear these around while doing housework. Sweeping the floor has never been so satisfying!

This toy is made with body-friendly materials and is easy to care for. If you want to use lube to help with insertion, you should use water-based only. The harness is silicone, so silicone lubes are a no-no. To clean, mild soap and warm water are good, or you can also use a toy cleaner or toy wipes. You'll want to take the set apart and clean all the pieces separately to ensure bacteria doesn't get trapped between the balls and the harness. Storage is easy as well--LELO has included a satin drawstring pouch that can hold all four balls and the harness.

I'm a sucker for nice packaging (I'm pretty sure this is my reason for my newly discovered love of lingerie), and LELO sure does know how to package things to make you feel all warm and fuzzy. The outer box is a velvety matte cardboard with the product name and a minimalistic photo. There's an inner box which is a thicker cardboard with LELO in silver letters. Inside is a foam padded tray that holds the beads. The packaging is visually beautiful and would make a lovely gift. Though there is perhaps an excessive amount of packaging, it is recyclable.
