The Manbound Over Door Sex Sling is a cost effective alternative to the traditional sex swing. It can be easily put up or taken down whenever needed, and doesn't require any sort of permanent installation whatsoever. It is primarily advertised as a male-male sex sling, but this sling can of course be used by anyone, regardless of orientation. This sex sling is a creative, relatively cheap instrument that can open up an array of new positions in the bedroom.

This is the very first sling my wife and I have tried, so I had a few questions the first time we used it. To be honest, one of my biggest concerns was whether or not it would be sturdy enough, as it does not rely on a permanent installation when hanging. Because the sling is an "over door" sling, it is designed to hold up the user using two small, metal rods - with small rubber caps on the end to prevent scratches - that are closed in the frame of the door during use (more about that later). The rods, as well as the straps connected to them (which all of the weight of the user is put on) are very solid. From the moment I took it out of the box, it was obvious that the sling was made very well and therefore wouldn't be making me cringe with each thrust while using it. In addition to this, Sportsheets, the company that manufactures this sling, offers a limited lifetime warranty with the product (though if anything were to break during use, I'm fairly certain I'd be turned off of slings for quite some time).

As stated on the packaging, the materials that the sling is made out of include the following:

Polyester fabric, polyethylee foam, polypropylene webbing, ABS plastic hardware, nickel free metal, and galvanized metal.

The padding in the seat area could have been slightly more, as after extended periods of use it became slightly uncomfortable. This being said, the overall design of the sling is very well done, and leaves little to be desired.

To set up the sling, simply take the two straps (with the metal rods on the end) and hang them up and over the opposite side of the door. Next, close the door and pull the straps until you feel that the rods have been pulled fully against the door frame. Now you're ready to climb in.

Our first time using the sling was, to put it simply, a little awkward. The most difficult part was the initial climbing into the sling and getting situated. I recommend using a chair to get started out. My wife and I are both athletic individuals, and we still had a hard time just hopping up into it. The reason for this is that the seat area tends to slope forward as you're climbing into it, unless you are sitting straight down into it from directly above. We also found it helpful to hang onto the handles that are provided on each side of the sling while climbing in. These handles feature a sturdy rubber tubing, which helps keep the straps from digging into your hands while using them.

Once you're sitting in the sling, the next step is to put both feet into the loops beneath the seat. This is where you'll now be fully held up by the sling, with only your back against the door. At this point, it's helpful to adjust each of the straps, both for the handles and foot loops as well as the heigh of the seat, so that you're as comfortable as possible. Once this is done, you're ready to play!

We found that the sling allowed us to enjoy positions that are not as easily achieved just in bed. One aspect of it that we particularly enjoyed was that it allows my wife to be able to stretch out her legs fully while still having them supported. While the sling can easily be used by either partner, we found that we enjoyed it much more when my wife was in it rather than me. This is just due to the fact that I preferred standing up next to her and being able to thrust into her rather than sitting in the sling myself while we tried positions for oral.

We have yet to try using it "backwards", while actually facing the door, but when we do eventually try that out we're sure there will be a whole host of new positions as well!

If you're looking for a product with discreet packaging, keep looking. The box that this sling comes in is about as obvious as they come. Each side is covered in pictures of a male model in underwear using the sling, along with the words "Over The Door Sex Sling" displayed in large font at the top. The packaging does provide very easy to understand instructions on the outside, which are very helpful if you're eager to get things going as soon as you open things up.



The packaging also includes a small door hanger that reads "Door Play in Action - Do Not Disturb". I can't imagine very many people using this, but I guess it's somewhat of a fun thing to include. While fun, I ended up throwing it away shortly after getting the product.

Unfortunately, the box that the product comes in is also so big that it's really impractical to use for anything. I really enjoy using the original packaging of products for storage, but ended up also throwing it away after taking the contents out.

After several minutes of thrusting and thrusting and, well, more thrusting, I began to notice that our door was actually taking a bit of strain under our session. I should mention that our door is quite solid, so I wasn't expecting any issues regarding its strength in holding up under either of our weights. However, the top corner of the door furthest away from the hinge looked as if it were bending away from the frame. When I saw this, we quickly stopped what we were doing to check that things were ok with it. When I opened the door, readjusted the straps, and closed it again, everything was fine. I'm guessing that after using it for some time, the metal rods on the straps begin pulling the door pretty consistently, which may result in them becoming jammed at the top of the door frame.

I thought I'd mention this, as it was the one of the few small issues that we had with the sling. It's not anything that has kept us from continuing to use the sling, but it's enough to make note of. If you have less solid, more hollow doors, I'd caution you to make sure that they will be ale to hold up under your weight before going crazy on this thing.

Finally, I have to say that once things get going and you and your partner are having a good time, it can get pretty loud when the person in the sling is repeatedly being thrust against the door. I tried to remedy this by holding my wife's legs towards me so that she wouldn't be pushed up against the door as hard, and this worked pretty well. Just something to keep in mind if noise is an issue where you'll be using this!
