If Mary Poppins had sex toys...
As long as you're not looking for an impenetrable safe to keep your toys in, the Footlong is a good choice. It seems almost magical in the amount of stuff it can hold!
Published:
Pros
Ideal shape for storing insertables, good color selection, sturdy, versatile.
Cons
Not entirely secure.
When I got the Footlong, before it showed up and even once it arrived, I figured I could keep a dildo or two in it, and maybe a set of cuffs, and then a vibrator if there was still space. I thought that that's all there would be space for. I ended up using it to keep a handful of restraint and sensation toys close to the bed, but it was nowhere close to capacity.
And then I started packing to go home for Christmas.
In the Footlong, I fit:
Njoy Pure Wand
Tantus Rascal O2
Tantus Acute
Tantus Pixie
Tantus Alumina Motion
DreamToys Blueberry Twist glass dildo
Onye Fleur
CEN Intimate Foreplay Kit vibrator and attachments
Generic pocket rocket
Eclipse balls
Batteries for all battery-powered toys
I couldn't figure out how it all fit, but it did! I'm sure I could have fit another vibe in there if I had tried. The different materials were all even bagged separately to keep the metal toys from getting scratched, and to keep the silicone nice and clean. Even with all of that in the bag, I wasn't struggling to close the zipper.
The Footlong looks like a dopp kit, or a large makeup bag. There's nothing about it that says "Sex toys HERE!" unless the person looking at it is familiar with the FYN logo. In fact, there's no reason why you couldn't use it as a travel case for toiletries and cosmetics. It would easily fit a bottle each of shampoo and conditioner, a razor, soap, toothpaste, and a toothbrush, and still have room to spare.
The material has a nice feel to it. It feels supple, and has a bit of give to it. I wouldn't say that it feels exactly like real leather, but it's a fairly good imitation. The stitching feels pretty durable. The lining is sort of a black nylon. While I haven't had any problems with it so far, I have heard that the dye occasionally bleeds onto and is absorbed by toys. Because of this, I take care to bag toys that I'm worried about before I put them in the Footlong.
I have the old style of Footlong, which is not as secure. The lock passes through the jump-rings that hold the pulls onto the zipper. A person who got really curious could grab some pliers, bend the rings open, and take off the lock without even having to pick it. But at least having a lock on it gives the message to someone casually browsing through your stuff that it's not something you feel like sharing. I know that the closure issue has been resolved in the new version.
The lock that is included with the Footlong is also not the most secure out there. It comes with the kind of key used to lock kids' diaries, jewelry boxes, and the like. Anyone who has even a little experience picking locks could easily pop it open. But it's not like you're obligated to use the lock that came with it. If you are seriously concerned, get yourself a small combination - or padlock.
I like to use the lock as a connector for wrist/ankle cuffs!
The Footlong is a versatile little case, and seems to be as bottomless as Mary Poppins' carpet bag. It is well-suited for, but is certainly not limited to, storing all of your sexy doodads.
If Mary Poppins had sex toys, this is what she'd keep them in.

Great review. I always want to get ahold of one of these. Would you say that the lack of a holding strap makes a difference?
-
I feel like a holding strap on each side would be nice since the bag is HEAVY with all of those toys inside, but it might make it look more conspicuous. I'm not sure how much I'd want holding straps since the bag either sticks around near the bed, or gets thrown into a suitcase.
-
Well, at least you packed the essentials

If you had my family, you need a little something to get you through the holidays, too :p

Very nice review! Thanks!
