I Like It, But...
The Devine playchest is a great storage option if you have many small toys or a few large toys. You will still need some way to keep silicone toys off each other, but this will definitely keep them in and out of sight. The only problem is the quality of the hinges and lock, which aren't what I would expect from a storage box this pricey.

It was bound to happen eventually.
My toy collection grew too huge to keep in one toybox and after a traumatic move in which friends and family were exposed to loose sex toys that had hidden themselves around my bedroom, I knew I was going to end up getting one of these as soon as it got back in stock.
After a long and hard road, I have one that I am decently satisfied with, but put the emphasis on "decently."
Let's start at the beginning. The Devine playchest is a large container in which you can store sex toys, lubes, BDSM paraphernalia, or pretty much anything else you want. It locks in front and comes with keys, nicely placed in a faux leather tag on a chain around the handles. If you're prone to losing your keys like me, you might want to keep them there!
^ Keys, tag, and chain removed from handles.
It has a central divider which is removable, elastic bands, and netting pockets to help keep your things contained and liquids upright. Being 14 and a half inches long, 8 inches wide, and around ten and a half inches tall (Excluding the handle.) measured on the outside, it can hold a lot of stuff. The interior is covered in a shiny, silky, and black material.
^ The inside, with both top panels open.
^ Inner pouch and elastic.
^ Mesh pouch in top panel.
The shiny, black, and faux leather exterior gives it a discreet, elegant look that will keep others from knowing about the secrets within. The bumpy, faux-croc appearance matches the red faux leather on my smaller Devine box. I can't ask for a much nicer looking storage option, really. I have no complaints whatsoever about its aesthetic appeal or the material used. It definitely appeals to my goth sensibilities. While some prefer real leather, I like that no animals were harmed hypothetically with the creation of this product, and I much prefer the care and keeping of faux leather. I'm not scared to spill something on it. The only thing I miss is the new leather smell. The smell of my chest is a bit unpleasant to be honest, a bit chemical in nature. I've been letting it air out for days but it's not quite gone yet. Would it be weird to put a sachet in my sex toy box?
The handles also make it easy to tote around. If I find myself moving again, I will be able to take all my toys out without a hitch. This is also great for anyone who finds themselves carrying around mass quantities of sex toys or lube for whatever reason. It would be perfectly fine for carrying around vanilla items as well, of course, but I just love the idea of this being used as some sort of dominatrix doctor bag.
I also really love that this box doesn't appear to be geared towards any particular gender. A lot of toy storage options I've seen are just a bit too stereotypically feminine for me to enjoy using, and since people of all genders can use and enjoy toys it's nice to see an option that anyone might be comfortable using and displaying in their home. It's stylish, but neutral. Of course, you can also get the option with pink as an accent color if you wish.
I intend for this box to be mainly used for my larger toys that don't come out as often, and BDSM stuff. Will it be able to contain my addiction to Vixen toys?
Yes, it most certainly can. Did it close? Yes, it did. I actually clapped my hands in delight over this.
Experience
Now we have to talk about the dark side of all this beauty. I just don't feel that the Devine playchest is a good toy for people who play rough or, heck, anyone who even intends to leave this thing open for longer than five minutes. If you want to keep your chest open while playing, leisurely grabbing toys out all night, you might want to look elsewhere.
The first toychest I received was defective. Upon opening the top, the hinges came loose and one of the top panels completely came off. Now, I don't just mean the metal parts came apart. The hinge literally tore off the box itself, leaving no way to repair it.
After receiving a return, my new toybox is fine, but I can't help but notice how delicate the hinges still are just by nature of their design. They really need some interior reinforcement to keep them from tearing off. I'm scared to put anything remotely heavy in the top pockets for fear that it will destroy my toybox. If this was a cheap item, it would be one thing, but the Devine playchest is more expensive than a lot of toys out there, even luxury ones.
The lock is also cheap and not as nice as I would like. With my smaller toy box, the lock is easily replaced with a better one. This isn't an option with this box. The lock isn't the kind I'm used to using, and a bit confusing to me. I haven't been able to successfully lock it yet due to the stiffness of the faux leather strip it's situated on. You're supposed to be able to insert it into the slot and hear it click into place. It's also one that would be easily picked by pretty much anyone who figured out how it was supposed to work. If you really need privacy, you need something that can have a better lock put on it.
All in all, I would probably recommend something from a hardware store over this unless you're decorating a dungeon or something and want everything to look gorgeous. Since I have this box out in the open, I like it. I like that it doesn't look like any old grungy toolbox and that it at least gives the illusion of being something you won't be able to open easily. I don't have anyone trying to get into it though, so I can afford to take looks over security.
On a fun and pointless side note, my replacement playchest came in a box so big (And padded with lots of paper to prevent any shipping damage, which may have been what harmed my first one. Thank you Eden!) that I could fit my whole body in it. I would share a photo of me posing in it to amuse you but I'm too shy to show my face here so just imagine me sitting in a box at the bottom of this review. Thanks for reading!

Follow-up commentary
3 months after original review
I still like my playchest! It's holding together well and despite being accidentally kicked, tripped over, and otherwise abused it looks great. I'm still keeping all my larger toys and lessed used toys in it and quite like the arrangement. Now that I have one that is holding together just fine, I feel that I can recommend this product. Just try to get it with a discount and a pocket full of points.

Thanks for the review! I love the look of it, but it's not quite big enough and I've heard that it's flimsy. For that price, you'd think you'd get something a little more sturdy.
