Storage can be an issue for almost anyone with a growing collection of sex toys. At some point, that bedside table isn’t going to house anymore vibrators, and stuffing it with dildos and cock rings will be a thing of the past. If you have children then you’ll want your items tucked safely away because, let’s face it – kids snoop. Maybe sex toys aren’t your plan for this chest. Personally, I’d like one to store toys in. I’d like another for smaller kink items; maybe another would be nice for cosmetics and hair products when traveling. Taking another as an overnight case sounds like a good idea. Using one for all my rope and rigging items would be great as well. Dang… at this rate, I’m going to need about seven of these.
The Devine Playchest is covered in faux patent leather that has a slightly raised crocodile texture. EdenFantasys carries two versions of the Playchest, one in midnight black (which is the one that I got) and one in black with pink trim. The material has a slick, smooth feeling to it. The silver, metal hardware which allows the top of the box to flip open on either side seems to be well-made and unyielding. The same goes for the metal posts located at the top of the handles, securing them to the Playchest. I know that the handles may seem a bit awkward and stiff when you get your case at first, but once it has had a chance to break in, your Playchest will settle in like one of your favorite handbags. You’ve got almost 4 inches at the base of the handle to fit your fingers through. Now we come to the lock. The lock is rather unfortunate, and really my only complaint. It’s not as sturdy as I had hoped. While it won’t keep out anyone who really wants to get in, at least there’s a lock present. I feel as if it would be much improved with a small padlock instead. I do like the adorable covering for the two keys, however. If you find yourself stumbling over yourself trying to get them out, simply squeeze together the sides of the covering and they will fall right out. Each key is about an inch in length and the faux patient-leather covering that houses them is about 2 ½ inches.
There is a faux patent - leather flap sans the crocodile texture that feeds underneath both handles. At the end of the flap is where the lock is located. The lock has to slip past a bar and pop into place then locked with a key.
The inside looks nice and roomy. There are two mesh pockets, one sewn into each side flap. Both pockets are 7 ¼ inches in length and 4 inches in width. The flaps are about 14 inches in length. The box is 6 inches deep, but once you close the flaps you get another 4 inches of space on top so you end up with 10 inches of total space – height-wise. You have 7 ½ inches across the bottom of the Playchest and that’s without the divider. The removable divider runs the entire length of the playchest and velcros in. It has two, 1 inch bands which are both 3 ¼ inches. There’s also another square mesh pocket 4 inches x 4 inches.
Cleaning the Devine Playchest should be fairly easy. Take a damp washcloth and wipe it down. You’ll want to do this in order to keep the fingerprints off. I’d do a gentle spot clean on the inside as well, just in case there’s a spill. I’m sure you’re going to have wear and tear on your Devine Playchest. One thought that came to mind was “How am I going to keep thing looking good?” A black marker of course! Any scuffs or edges can probably be touched up with a black magic marker. This is just for small jobs – mind you. If you drop this sucker down a flight of stairs… that’s on you.
As always, EdenFantasys ships very discreetly in a big brown box with a return address from “Web Merchants.” The Playchest is also wrapped in a clear plastic bag.
We know that there’s going to plenty of pictures of playchests packed with toys. I was looking around the house to see what all else I might be using mine for and what all I could fit in mine.

I don't really store my dogs in there...

Of course, once I got it filled, I realized I needed ANOTHER Playchest. I love mine. It travels well and I can fit a TON of stuff in there. Did I mention how much that I love it?
