Absolutely "Devine"
While the design of the Devine Playchest is femininely gorgeous, it just is not worth the money unless you love the design just that much. It's a hard case, which is good for transportation to parties or between rooms, but it is not feasible for travel. Additionally, it is difficult to lock and secure, and I do not feel safe with the locking device, given the price.

Pros
Spacious, firmly structured, beautiful design, worth the money if you have it.
Cons
Expensive, locking device isn't wonderful, doesn't close cleanly or easily.
Ah, the Devine Playchest — so many have lusted over its feminine curves and beautiful construction. But does it live up to its hype? Is it truly worth as much as all of us crazy, sex toy obsessed Edenites declare it to be? To answer that, I have to say that I'm conflicted. No, it isn't really my style, but I purchased both the old style (the croc design) and the new (now it's a faux python skin) and I am not sure if it is just my (bad) luck or if all of the Devine Playchests are constructed in the same fashion (which I will explain later).
Covered in a faux-leather skin, the Devine Playchest carries itself in a flashy, "look at me" manner. The chest is actually quite massive for a carry-around, and since it's a hard case can fit tons and tons of glass toys or fragile pieces (if they've been put into some form of toy bag, of course). I'm able to fit over fifty toys (out of their containers) in one chest; that includes vaginal balls, vibrators, dildos, prosthetics, condoms, gloves, and lubricant. Some are in slips to keep them safe, others are not; they've all, even with being jostled around, have remained intact. Since I have two cases, I have used one as my fire play and fire cupping box, and it holds my cups, alcohol, fire wands, and gloves with room to spare (and room to expand my collection).
From floor to top of the semi-circle top, it measures 10 1/2"; the width is 8 1/2", and the length across its front is about 15". Definitely a pretty big "play"chest, even though the dimensions sound tiny. While the playchest appears small from the outside, the inside is incredibly spacious. In comparison to other chests such as wooden trunks, it is rather petite, but since it's transportable, it is a hefty size.
There are two mesh compartments on the insides of the closing top of the playchest, each with an elastic band to (hopefully) keep your toys in place. The top opens almost like a book, each side opening away from the large middle compartment. Inside the body of the chest is a dividing wall that can be moved via the velcro strips on the inner sides of the chest. The movable wall has velcro on it as well, so the size of the sections can be changed to suit the needs of the consumer. I personally do not move the divider around too much as I do not change out my toys, but if you plan to use the playchest for traveling, it is easily converted into a completely new case each time.
On the bottom of the case are five metal pegs (one on each corner and one in the middle) that keep the playchest elevated from the floor. The pegs can scratch wood or other sensitive flooring, so be careful to not drag the case across the floor or set it down too hard.
However, the problem arises when we come to the lock and closure of the case. If only they would fix them! The lock is a cheap lock that is similar to the locks used on many handcuffs (a standard, one-click design that can be picked quite easily). The reason they're used on handcuffs for play is simple: the lock can be picked and the cuffs removed. But for a chest, where the items are to be stored safely and securely, I do not feel secure with a lock that can be picked so easily. On top of that, closing the case was trying at best. The top piece (on both cases) did not line up entirely properly, and I had to struggle to get it lined up just right so that the strap on the front would click into place. It could partially be due to the sometimes sticky material (vinyl tends to stick to itself), but I attribute it more to poor planning.
So, sadly, as much as I love the Devine Playchest for its lovely design, roomy interior, and firm structure, I have to say that it isn't worth the money due to its few construction flaws, both of which could easily be fixed, so I don't know why they haven't been. It is, however, worth the hype just because of how gorgeous it really is; it is truly a "divine" playchest fit for a sex toy god/goddess.

Experience
I rated the playchest three stars because even though it is a great hard case, I think that it has much room for improvement, considering its price. I really would like to see it have a real lock with a coded key as well as a better closure system; even better if they still retain the beautiful design.

Thank you for the wonderful review. It seems the flimsy locks get the most complaints from chest owners.
