You Don't Have To Getaway To Enjoy The Getaway Kit
The Getaway Kit by Kama Sutra is a great little kit whether you are travelling or not. I find it to be a great kit to sample a variety of products by the brand, to see which you do and do not like. The products are all travel-sized, but because of the quality of the products, a little really does go along way.

Pros
variety of products, travel-sized, will last for many uses, quality, edible, scent
Cons
ingredients not listed on individual products, dust tastes like baby powder, a bit expensive
The only packaging to the Getaway Kit by Kama Sutra is a cardboard piece surrounding the travel bag. The front of the cardboard piece states the brand name and product name in a cute design. The back of the cardboard has a brief product description, and the bottom lists all of the ingredients. The cardboard piece is not very discreet because most people know the Kama Sutra brand. Though, the cardboard piece can be slid right off the bag and recycled.
The travel bag is black and is quite discreet without the cardboard surrounding it. The zipper tab is quite large and does have the company’s name on it, but it’s black text on a black background so it is not very noticeable. The bag is approximately 7 inches wide, 5 inches tall, and 2 inches thick.
Inside of the travel bag, the products are sitting on a plastic insert. The products inside are as follows: Honeysuckle Honey Dust, feather applicator, Vanilla Crème Oil of Love, Love Liquid lubricant, French Vanilla Crème Body Soufflé, and petite scented candle. You could keep the plastic insert if you wanted to, but I just recycled mine. Without the plastic insert, the products only fill one third of the bag.
The sizes and ingredients of each of the products, as listed on the bottom of the cardboard packaging are as follows: (there are a lot, so bare with me)
Vanilla Crème Oil of Love .75 fl oz (15mL): Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Water (Aqua/Eau), Sucrose, Flavor (Aroma), Sodium Saccharine, Citric Acid, Yellow 5 (CI 19140).
Love Liquid 1fl oz (29mL): Water (Aqua/Eau), Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Tetrasodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate.
French Vanilla Crème Body Soufflé 1.8 fl oz (50mL): Water (Aqua/Eau), Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Cetearyl Alcohol, Flavor (Aroma), Polyacrylamide, C 13~14 Isoparrafin, Laureth~7, PEG-100 Stearate, Carbomer, Sodium Saccharine, Sodium Hydroxide, Potassium Sorbate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Yellow 5 (CI 19140), Yellow 6 (CI 15985).
Honeysuckle Honey Dust 2 oz (50g): Corn Starch Modified, Glucose, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Honey (Mel/Miel), Silica, Honey (Mel) Extract, Sodium Saccharine, Fragrance (Parfum), Sodium Benzoate, Amyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Alcohol, Eugenol, Hydroxy Citronellol, Benzyl Salieylate, Geraniol, Linalool, Citronellol, Benzyl Benzoate.
The French Vanilla Crème Body Soufflé looks, feels, smells, and tastes like vanilla pudding. It does leave a somewhat nasty after taste in your mouth though... it almost felt like a film of the product was still in my mouth. When massaged into the skin, the soufflé absorbs nicely and does not leave any residue or a sticky feeling behind. My skin actually felt quite nice where the product was used afterwards. If the product isn’t entirely licked off or massaged into the skin, it can be washed off with soap and water. I found that until I washed the product off with soap, the scent lingered.
The Love Liquid is an unscented, water-based lubricant. It is clear in colour. The lubricant is quite runny and just a bit thicker than water. The hole in the top of the product is quite small, but if you squeeze the bottle, you’ll end up having too much come out of the hole. It’s a pretty small bottle of lubricant but it should last you for many uses because you really don’t need to use much. The lubricant is long lasting, and does not get sticky. It absorbs into the skin completely. You should not need to reapply the lubricant because of its staying power. I didn’t feel the need to wash the product off of my skin because it absorbed completely, but if you need to remove the lubricant, it comes off fine with soap and water. One other thing to note is that this lubricant contains glycerin, so for those prone to yeast infections, you may want to avoid using this product internally.
The white, scented soy candle has a very strong, fresh smell to it when it’s not being burned. When I was burning the candle, it didn’t have as strong of a scent, but the fresh smell was still there. I’m not sure of the exact scent since it does not say on the tin it comes it. This is not a massage oil candle. If you are into temperate play, I suppose you could drip the wax onto your partner’s body, but this was not the intended purpose of the candle. There is a small sticker on the bottom of the tin that says the candle should not be burned for more than ½ an hour at a time. I’m not sure of how long the candle’s burn-life is since I haven’t used it all yet.

Experience
...continued
The Oil of Love is a golden yellow colour, but massages into the skin clear. I did not notice the oil to have a scent to it, though it tastes like vanilla. This is actually my favourite product out of the entire kit because unlike the soufflé, the oil doesn’t leave a nasty after taste in your mouth. The oil would be excellent for massaging purposes because you do not need to use much of it, and it lasts for quite awhile. The oil is a bit runny and does make your skin a bit tacky after massaging the product thoroughly. The oil washes off easily with soap and water.
The Honeysuckle Honey Dust looks like baby powder. Also, the scent reminds me a bit of baby powder too. I’m not sure exactly which ingredient it is that makes it taste so funky, but I can’t stand it. My partner doesn’t seem to mind it though. This is my least favourite product out of the entire kit. The dust comes with a feather applicator that you use to dust the product onto your own, or your partner’s skin.
The tin of dust is small, and the applicator is quite large. When trying to get dust onto the feather applicator, it went everywhere. So be sure to be very gentle when trying to use the feather applicator. Also, the feather applicator applies the dust to a rather large area of the body. If you are trying to use the dust on a smaller, specific area, you may want to use something else to apply the product. To clean the feather applicator, I just take a paper towel and gently wipe down the feathers. The dust comes off the skin well with soap and water.
All of the products are travel-sized, though they should last for many uses because you don’t need much of each product to enjoy it. This kit would make an excellent gift, or a great purchase if you are looking to sample a variety of the Kama Sutra products. One thing that bothers me is that the ingredients are only listed on the lubricant. The rest of the products do not have ingredients listed on them. While the ingredients are listed on the cardboard piece surrounding the bag when it arrives, it would have been nice to have the ingredients on the products as well.
Overall I am happy with this kit, though I would suggest getting it with a coupon code, or when it is on sale. I find the price to be pretty steep. The kit gets a 4 out of 5 rating from me. I deducted a star because of the after taste of the soufflé, the disgusting flavour of the dust, and the fact that it doesn’t have the ingredients listed on the individual products.
