Who needs 5 fingers when you have 8?
This is a good little gift to give someone. It also is useful to have. It is cheap. The octopus helps add fingers to a massage and makes it easier on you.

Cheap, Help with a massage
Cons
The nubbies are useless
I picked this up as a little extra something to play with. It was not meant to be sexual, it was just meant to save my hands when rubbing my husband back and save his when he did mine.
I am a massage hog. I love when the massage last a really, really long time (5 minute quickies are not acceptable for me), my husband hands would cramp and grow tired way of rubbing and massaging way before I ever felt like I was done with the massage. So I saw this and decided to give it a try.
It is a little octopus. The head of the animal is your handle. It is a nice size for my hands, but can be a bit small or large for other people. The octopus is made out of a hard plastic material.
The individual fingers or arms on the octopus each have a number of small plastic nubbies located along the length of the whole arm. The nubbies also go around the arm. It looks nice, but I do not fully understand their function. They don't do much good past the tips. When using the massager you really only use the tips of the arm when rubbing. The nubbies become useless at this point, since you won't be using the full length of the arm in your massage, unless you decide it needs to be buried deep in the person.
The plastic is a perfect strength or hardness. You do not want something that is flimsy or to soft when trying to massage or rub out a tense muscle.
This will not take care of all ache and muscle cramps. It is helpful once you figure out the right amount of pressure to apply when using it. It does help prevent hand cramps while massaging.
It is also really cute and does not look bad when sitting on your dresser or desk.
If you like to be massaged or are looking for a small impersonal gift, this is it. It shows you care a little but did not spend a whole lot of money on someone.
It comes in handy to have around the house.

I don't use this often at all since I got my Hitachi. It is still worth having for when you don't feel like pulling the actual vibrating back massager out.
