I was really excited to order this massage kit because I have always been a big fan of the Kama Sutra line of products, and I love giving my partner massages. Before using the products from this kit, we had only tried the edible oils from Kama Sutra. These are NOT edible.

Since I had never tried any of these oils, I wanted to be able to try a variety of them, rather than buying one full size of the oil and not being particularly happy with the scent I had chosen. This kit is an excellent choice if you have not tried any of them yet, or if you prefer variety. In my case, both apply.

The product packaging is different than what is shown on the product page. You can see by the photo below that the front of the package has a photo of a man and woman with the Kama Sutra brand logo, and a few other text pieces. The product packaging being different was not a big deal to me, but I felt it needed to be noted.



The five 2oz. bottles of oil come neatly packaged in a clear plastic traveling case with a zip-tab to close the case. It fits all of the oils perfectly, but I will continue to use it once the oils are used up to carry things in my purse.

The five different oil scents and their “purposes” as stated on the front of the bottles are as follows:

Sweet Almond- “sensual combination of calming oils for relaxation and de-stressing”
Healing Blend- “rich blend of pure essential oils for soothing muscles and restoring harmony”
Soaring Spirit- “invigorating blend of pure essential oils to energize and refresh”
Pleasure Garden- “aromatic mix of pure essential oils for sensual and seductive intimacy”
Serenity- “soothing mixture of pure essential oils for quieting body and soul”



All of the scents are quite exotic in comparison to your regular scented massage oils (ie. strawberry, vanilla). The best word I could use to describe these scents would be “earthy”. They all smell excellent, but I definitely would consider these a more sensual product that will not turn our regular massages into anything sexual. The scents are very relaxing and fresh, but do not excite my partner or me sexually. We use these products as a nice scent to add to a back massage before we go to sleep. Also, my favourite of the five is the Sweet Almond as it has the most feminine scent out of them. All of the scents are quite strong (like most of the Kama Sutra products). If you do prefer subtle scents over strong ones, this may not be the right product for you.

The oils are excellent quality. The oil does not leave your skin feeling sticky or greasy after application. They do absorb into the skin a bit, but not enough that we needed to reapply. Although the bottles are smaller than the regular size, these will last us MANY applications since you do not need to use much each time. The oils are easy to wipe off with just water, or soap and water if you prefer. I just wiped my partners back with a warm washcloth. His skin, where the oil was applied to, felt amazing afterward.

All of the bottles are 2oz. each. At $27.99 for the kit, that equals to roughly $5.60/2oz. bottle. The 8oz. bottles, which you can buy individually, are $17.99 each. With the 8oz. bottles, you would be paying $4.50 per 2oz. What this means is basically you are going to be paying a little over a dollar more per 2oz. So I suggest buying the sample kit only once to find the scents you prefer, and then buying the regular sized products so that you can save money.

We still love the massage oil kit! We have only used it once since the review, but that is because we have so many different massage oils that we rotate them. I would still highly recommend this kit, and may even get a kit for my sister for the holidays. The paper insert in the package can be taken out so the woman and man (who appear to be naked) is gone, and looks more like a sensual product than a sexual one. It's a fantastic kit and still holds a place in our hearts!
