From my favorite lubricant company, System JO, comes a super affordable line of bath and body type products with a high end feel and quality. This specially designed detergent is infused with pheromones to make you feel even sexier while you wear the lingerie it has just gently cleaned! This product's label says it is paraben free, cruelty free, natural, and petro chemical free. Some of those claims are more true than others, but either way this detergent does its job well. It leaves a lovely fragrance and doesn't harm my delicates.

I got most of my information from ewg.org and cosometicsinfo.org.
Thickness/Viscosity/Texture:
This detergent is very thick. It's thicker than my normal clothes detergents, shampoos, and dish soap. I has a gel like quality to it and seems fairly concentrated. The detergent is a light yellowish color akin to apple juice. It get sudsy very well and acts like normal detergents.
Scent/Aroma:
This detergent comes in plenty of scent varieties: Pomegranate, Blue lotus, Mangosteen, Acai, Camu camu, and Goji berry. I chose Pomegranate. I can smell a hint of pomegranate that is surprisingly not all that synthetic smelling. It is fruity, but in a very natural tone. There is also a soap like smell to it, that my other detergents also have. The smell is strong and I do enjoy it. It lingers to the clothing and lingerie after washing and drying.

Experience
Packaging:
DONA by JO has very simple but still pretty packaging. The plastic bottle has a matte label on it with a gorgeous blue lace print. In stylish fonts the product is described in text wrapped around the bottle. It's discreet yet informative. The bottle contains 9.5 fluid ounces and has a black screw cap that is sealed with a tamper evident sticker. I didn't think of it at the time of the purchase, but this is pretty expensive for the amount! Only once have I bought a detergent specific for lingerie, at Victoria's Secret. Yea, that cost more, but I got three or four times the amount given here. If you don't use the amount directed, this is a much better buy.
Performance:
The instructions state: Pour 1/2 cup of lingerie wash into a basin of approximately one gallon of luke warm water. Soak for 5-10 minutes. Gently hand wash. Follow drying instructions on garment label.
I'm sorry, but a half cup of this detergent would make it so that the bottle would barely last more than two uses! That's a tad ridiculous if you ask me. You do NOT need to use that much, even when washing regular clothes. When I am doing a few smaller pieces of lingerie, my sink works well for the washing.
For lingerie, the detergent works well and smells great while it works. It doesn't leave any grime, stains, or residue. The detergent feels like a conditioning agent in the water and also leave the lingerie feels soft instead of starchy. I used only a few cap fulls on a medium size load of regular laundry and that did the job just fine. I love the smell! Even after drying my clothes in a machine, the smell stayed and is still faint on the unworn clothes hanging in my closet and in my lingerie drawer.
Considering that his detergent has worked on a variety of fabrics already, I'd say it is a great lingerie wash, although, I've never had any issues with regular detergents on my intimates. I do like the infused pheromones and smell. I just think their recommendation of amount per use is a bit ridiculous and unnecessary, especially considering the amount given and the price. Regardless, I am pleased with this purchase and will continue to buy it. I can't wait to try the other scents. I bet they are all great.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
I recently had to wash some dresses and instead of taking them to a dry cleaners I threw them in lingerie bags and added some of this to my washing machine. It worked wonderfully! No damage was done to my satin dresses and they were left smelling great. I'm about 2/3 of my way through the bottle, but will buy another when it is out. I still love the scent too.
