I think the Hitachi is an amazing body massager, but as a sex toy I'm not too fond of it. The vibrations are very strange and I would describe them as rumbly, but not in a good way. They are incredibly powerful, and even on the lowest setting I find that it's a little too high for me. I happen to be a person who loves strong vibrations and I'm always looking for the strongest vibrating toy I can find, but these vibrations are just strange. I find that using the toy for even a minute or two makes the lips of my vagina swell really bad, to the point that I'm afraid to use it without a sheet or something to act as a barrier. How strong the vibrations are and how they seem to travel all the way around the vibrating ball is what causes the swelling.

I've noticed that after using the Hitachi I am very numb, so much so that I can't even feel a different vibrator after using it. I think this is because of the strange vibrations and how strong it is. This toy also gets very warm, very quick. If I'm remembering correctly the instructions say not to use it for more than 25 minutes at a time so you don't over heat it and I can definitely see why.

One great thing that I really love is the fact that there are no batteries and no charger involved, the Hitachi simply plugs into a power outlet. The only downside to this is that the cord isn't very long so if you don't have a power outlet close to your bed it might not be long enough.

There are two power settings, low and high. I find that the low setting is way too high even for someone who loves strong vibrations, and the high setting could send someone through the roof. The Hitachi is also very, very loud.

I've made a point of using my Hitachi Magic Wand a handful of times over the past couple of days and I think it does have some potential. I find that when I use the side of it the vibrations aren't so strong and are directed a little bit better. I also can stand using it better with some sort of barrier, like a sheet or panties. It's actually pretty sexy to use it over the top of some silky panties.
