I ordered the Hitachi because I had heard so many wonderful things about it. I wanted to use it as a clit vibrator. I loved that it is electric and you don't have to buy batteries for it. I wanted to use it in conjunction with one of my glass dildos.

I was so excited when I finally got my own Hitachi. I tried it as soon as it arrived. I loved it at first. The vibrations were very intense, even on the low setting. But after a few minutes I started itching. Shortly after that I felt a burning sensation. I looked at my vaginal area and it looked all red and inflamed. I thought maybe I was allergic to the material. A few days later I ordered one of the attachments that fit over it. Unfortunately, that didn't help either. I also tried adding a layer of plastic wrap. That didn't help either, so I came to the conclusion that the vibrations are just too strong for me.

I do like the Hitachi as a back massager. The long handle makes it easy to use on my own neck and upper back. I suffer from chronic pain in my upper back and neck from a herniated disc and it feels good to lightly massage that area. My husband loves it when I use it to massage his back also.

I would definitely re-purchase the Hitachi as a gift for a friend or family member. I have many friends who tell me the Hitachi is their favorite vibrator. I wish I could use it for the reason I bought it. I hope in the future they will make a Hitachi with lower settings so sensitive people like me can enjoy it. It would be nice not to have to buy so many batteries for my vibrators.
