This well crafted candle will fill your room with a delicate scent and the massage oil is always the perfect temperature. Superbly moisturizing and silky feeling it begs to be used as your daily moisturizer and not just for "romantic time"

Pros
Oil not greasy feeling, the scent is lasting but not overpowering, beautiful and discreet.
Cons
The ceramic container may break if dropped, it takes a while to melt enough for a full body massage.
JimmyJane Ember Massage Candle in Lychee + Lapsang
The packaging of this is lovely. A sturdy two part laminated cardboard box the white outer box is embossed with the JimmyJane logo in silver and the top features the scent description “Tangy Lychee fruit mingles with the smoldering indulgence of Lapang Souchong tea. This pair of aphrodisiac scents suggest intrigue, where the familiar meets the exotic.” The inner box is of the same cardboard but in black and has a pink sticker across the back that has the product blurb “Natural emollient massage candle. Set the tone with illumination, scent and the option of a tactile thrill. Burn this as a candle, or snuff the flame and playfully drip the wax on your lucky accomplice. The cosmetic-grade soy wax and natural plant extracts liquify to nourish the skin and excite the senses. Burns for up to 60 hours(plus afterglow)”. The candle is wrapped in gray foam and the lid is buffered with the same and securely sealed. There is a little booklet that has the directions and tips for use in English, Spanish, French, Dutch and German. The ingredients for each scent are listed in this booklet and from what I see, the Saffron + Neroli has the least amount of chemical additives.

Candle and lid
Initially when I pulled it out of the box I thought it smelled of roses and was a little put off. When I took the seal off and sniffed the actual candle I was pleased to smell a beguiling mix of lychee and smokey lapsang tea. The candle is an elegant ceramic holder and the lid that keeps dust and nasties out of the candle when not in use and doubles as a stand while it's burning. It looks like any other candle to it can be left hanging about without need to explain it to the kids or mom, in fact my 6 year old niece like the way it smells so much she wanted me to get her one for her room!
The instructions say that the candle needs to burn at least 30 min to develop enough oil for a massage, I found this to be accurate. I was pleasantly surprised to find that as soon as I blew out the candle the oil was a perfect temperature for a massage. I massaged my husband's back for about 20 minutes and my hands gave out before the oil completely absorbed. It lasted another 15 minutes or so before the “slick” feeling went away. The oil had a lovely silky texture and despite the fact it begins as a wax I found it to not be drying to our skin, and it's not at all greasy.
It has a lovely "soft" feeling that just makes you want to rub it all over yourself or your partner.
The scent is divine, not at all girly which I was afraid of based on my initial impression of rose. It does have a certain floral note to it dry, but when the candle is burning it smells sensuous and woodsy. The oil itself as well is the scent in the air, is predominantly lapsang tea, deep dark and smokey. The lychee notes of this scent while not really fruity per say add a brightness to the scent that balances it out smoothly and makes it gender neutral. The scent lingers nicely on the skin. After I finished massaging my husband's back I rubbed some into my heels and elbows, the booklet says that the candle will stay liquid for around 30 min. I'd say you have a little less than that before it starts to thicken. When I woke up the next morning scent was still in the air, but had faded from my skin but my skin felt lovely and soft.
I'm recommending this for couples who want to have some romantic sensual time or for someone who wants to be very moisturized by themselves. I think that there needs to be a “flameless” microwaveable version of this for dorm-dwellers :).

Follow-up commentary
4 months after original review
While i still like the texture of the oil and the longevity of it as a candle, the strong scent has started to bother me and I haven't been using it, which really is a shame since it's so moisturizing. but as a plus if you like the strong scent it doesn't appear to fade with time.
