The Black Rose set by Doc Johnson is one of my favorite lines of toys and accessories. The Secret Garden Vibrating Panty is probably the weakest link in this strong and wonderful line. Still it is an ambitious undertaking to create a wearable pair of underwear that will fit all users. For the most part this pair of soft, silky and beautiful panties works like it is meant to, but there are drawbacks.

First let's talk about what this pair of panties looks like and how it works. As you can see by the photo the panty is rather small and looks like it would fit only a small segment of the population but it is actually very stretchy and the ties are very long. The Panty comes with a small, three speed bullet that runs on 3 watch batteries.

It's tiny, measuring in at 2.5 inches long, but it is very powerful. This is not a bullet that you will lose while it's turned on. The real problem is it's also LOUD. I don't know about you but walking around audibly buzzing will raise eyebrows in my neck of the woods! So, yes it works, but no not really well in public.


Ok, so down to the real measurements and stuff. As you can see in the photo the panty is totally open on all sides. The panty is composed of what Doc Johnson calls "silky material" it feels like Nylon/Lycra and is very stretchy. They are not lined and there is a pocket to hold the included bullet on the front panel of the panty. Doc Johnson says the panty can fit a waist size of up to 54 inches, my waist is only 45 inches and it fits just fine with lots of tie left over to make a pretty bow.
The front panel top edge measures a little over 10 inches, the gusset measures 12 inches from front waistband to back waist band, the narrowest area of the crotch is just over 1 inch across, and the back waist band measures 8 inches. Each of the silky ties measures almost 21.5 inches so there's lots of room! Each silk tie is double turned and machine stitched evenly and firmly. The ends of the ties are cut on the bias forming a gorgeous point that isn't blunted with too much fabric like other cheaper products I have seen. The silk doesn't "crush" after being tied and always looks stunning.


I have no real problem with the workmanship or the idea of the piece. It does, indeed, fit most. The problem is you need a dressing crew to get the darn thing on the first time! The ties are silky and slippery and it is VERY difficult to tie one side and then tie the other. What happens is the ties is too tight on one side pulling the body of the panty to the side. If you do have help it's still a bit awkward but you can tie it and then slip out without untying for future use.
The ties create bulk on the hips so these aren't going to look particularly sexy under a dress or even under jeans. It just looks odd. The only way these do look sexy is if you are wearing them with the silky restraints and waiting for a lashing from the Whipping Willow!
In the bedroom the loudness of the bullet can actually enhance the experience, in my opinion. So for us this is a bedroom or play party only item.

This panty needs to be washed by hand and allowed to drip dry. I don't recommend twisting or wringing the water out. A cool iron on silk setting will handle any wrinkles left behind after drying.

I rarely wear these because they are such a pain to put on but they do have a certain charm. They have held up to mild use.
