The Warmth of Your Touch
Overall, I really enjoyed The Dona Massage Candle. The aphrodisiacs that are infused in this product had no effect on me as I expected, but it was still a lot of fun to use during foreplay and is also great for when you just want to experience a relaxing, warm massage with your partner.

Dona Massage Candle is a soy-based candle oil that is intended to be rubbed into the skin for a sexy, relaxing massage. It's a fun product for couples and great for setting the mood. Being that this Dona Massage Candle is the first massage candle I've ever tried, I don't have others to compare it to. I did however have a great experience with this massage candle and I'm very eager to try others.
After looking into the ingredients a little more I noticed that a lot of them are especially helpful in maintaining good skin conditioning. It does contain fragrance so if you have any allergies to fragrances that are commonly used in bath and body products or any kind of skin conditions, I would suggest doing a spot test before applying to your entire body.
Ingredients:
Glycine Soja Wax, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Oil, Laminaria Digitata (Algae) Extract, Myrciaria Subia (Camu Camu) Fruit Powder, Fragrance
Although this candle contains fragrance, It does have a light aroma but it's not enough to fragrance a large room. Personally, I find it a little too pricey to use this candle for fragrance purposes. I would rather take advantage of the specific body ingredients inside this product that you pay extra for. The scent that I chose was Camu Camu. The candle is a little different than the rest of the Camu Camu products I've tried. While you can still notice the tropical smell to it, the candle has a sweet, creamy smell that I haven't noticed in any of my other Camu Camu scented products.
Dona Massage Candle comes in a sleek, elegant tin that is convenient and easy to use. It comes in the perfect size and shape to dip your fingers into for a mess free application and is also very easy to pour. It is lightweight and has a lid, making it simple to pack inside of a suitcase or slip into a purse/bag.
After doing a little research, worried that the oil was going to burn me, I basically read that soy based candles have a low melting point to keep from burning your skin. Once you have extinguished the flame, the liquid oil is not hot like the melted wax of a traditional candle. I would compare the warmth to be around the temperature of a warm bath. The temperature is very warm, soothing, and relaxing. It can be directly massaged into the skin and once applied, the creamy oil allows your hands to glide easily over the skin. At first, it is slightly greasy and absorbs fairly quickly, but not so quickly that you need to keep reapplying it. Once it is fully absorbed into your skin the greasy, oily feeling goes away and your skin is left feeling soft, nourished, silky smooth, and lightly scented.
It is very difficult to estimate the exact burn time or number of uses you will get from this candle due to the variation in applications. It all depends on your personal preference when it comes to the amount of oil you wish to use, but I can say that a little bit does go a long way, and you will get a great value out of your candle.
I checked on my candle every 15 minutes and decided that after an hour of burning there was a good amount of oil. Since a little bit of oil goes a long way, I probably would have had enough product to use after 30-45 minutes.
If you notice in the pictures, once you've extinguished the candle you are left with a chunk of ashes at the top of the candle wick. I absolutely hate when those fall into the oil, so once I've finished and the oil has hardened, I tip my candle upside down and use a tissue to carefully remove the chunk of ashes.

If you're looking for a good massage candle this is the one to get! The only trick is going to be finding the scent that fits you best. Personally, I like the Camu Camu the best. I tried the Mangosteen but the smell was entirely too sweet and strong for me. The quality of the massage oil is great and the burning time isn't too long. This is a massage candle that I would recommend to just about anyone!
