The Tantric Massage Candle Has a Ridiculously STRONG Relaxing Scent..
As the second massage candle that we have tried, we both agree it is our favourite. The scent is fantastic, not too feminine, but not too masculine either. The wax makes a phenomenal massage oil that feels good on the skin when being used, and after being washed off after the massage, it feels good and conditioned. We love the scent, but if you avoid strong scents that linger, you may want to avoid this product.

Pros
strength of scent, wax spreads easily, lovely scent, 40 hour burn time
Cons
the scent may be too strong for some
The Tantric massage candle with pheromones by Cal Exotics is the second massage oil candle I have tried. I must admit, it is my new favourite.
The Tantric massage candle with pheromones scent is White Lavender. I absolutely love the scent. My partner really enjoys it too. My partner said the candle has a "masculine scent, with an added sweetness." I’m not sure what exactly that means but he said he really likes it! I find that it’s an extremely strong scent but I don’t find it “sweet” as in candy-sweet. I find it much more of a relaxing, fresh scent. I’ve smelled lavender scented products before that didn’t have the “lavendery” smell that I find relaxing. This one hits the spot though!
The candle’s packaging is just the black tin that it is in. There is no plastic/paper packaging, like with most candle products. The stock photo makes the candle tin look like there are hot pink accents on it, but its actually more of a red/purple colour. The top of the tin has a swirly design with the company name, product name, and scent labelled on it. The rest of the tin is solid black. The bottom of the tin has a sticker label on it with the company information, information about the product, and the ingredients in the candle. You can see a photo of the tin below:
The ingredients as listed on the bottom of the tin are as follows: Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Seed Oil, Prunus Armenica (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Simmondsia Chinesis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Fragrance (parfum), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Copulandrone, Copuline-alike, Reconstituted Andronone.
The tin is 4oz (113g). The directions say to apply the warmed wax to your hands, and then distribute evenly onto your partner’s body area of choice. You can do this, or apply the warmed wax with a small spoon, or drip the wax right onto your partner after blowing the flame out.
The burn time stated on the product is 40hours. I think this is probably pretty accurate, give or take an hour or two. We had burned the candle for about 30 minutes before there was a bit more than a teaspoon full of warmed wax oil to be used. The scent of the candle while it burned was just as strong as when I first opened the tin. It filled the room with the white lavender scent. It also smelled fantastic (and strong), when I poured the oil onto my partner's back and was using it for massaging purposes. If you do not like strong scents, or the scent of lavender, you will probably not enjoy that aspect of this product.
Once I had poured the wax onto my partner's back, it was easy to distribute the oil evenly onto his entire back. The other candle I had tried prior to this candle was extremely thick in oil, which made it hard to distribute to the entire back. I was impressed with the Tantric massage oil candle because it was thick, but not thick enough to make it hard to give a good massage. I massaged his back for about 20 minutes, and the oil lasted the entire time. It did absorb into the skin the more I massaged his back, but did not absorb completely.
After the massage was done, I did feel a bit of a layer left on my hands. After washing my hands, they felt fine. The scent was still on my hands though, even after washing them thoroughly. My partner's back did not feel as if there was as thick of a film left on his skin like it was on my hands, but there was still a bit of a tacky feeling on his back. If you feel that it is uncomfortable after using it, it is easy to wipe off with a bit of soap and water. Once you wipe the layer that is left on your skin, the area will feel nice and a bit conditioned.
As for the pheromones, I am not sure if they really work. I personally did not feel any sexual excitement from the scent. Actually, the lavender scent made me feel much more relaxed, as if I could have fallen asleep peacefully after smelling it. Maybe the lavender scent is just stronger than the pheromones? I'm not sure. For me though, they did nothing.
Overall, the candle is fantastic. The only thing I can really suggest to improve the candle is to add different scents for a variety, rather than just having the white lavender scent. This candle gets a 5 out of 5 from me because it smells amazing, and is excellent for massaging use!

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
I still love the Tantric Massage Candle and we have used it many times since the original review. We love the massage oil that we get from the candle and the scent is also quite relaxing. The only thing I'd like to see different is a variety of scents offered rather than just this one. While the scent is relaxing, I'd prefer to have this candle in a fruity, sexy smell. Other then that, we love our Tantric candle!

Thanks for the review and pics. I wish this came in another scent or I'd try it, not big on lavender myself.
-
I agree, other scents would definitely be nice!
