The Countour M is Mmmmm Mmmmm Good
This brilliantly-conceived massage stone gives you three types of massage style, including broad and shallow stimulation and deeper, multiple-point stimulation. It enables you to give a quality massage without over-straining your hands.

Pros
Design, function, ease of use.
Cons
Absolutely none--this is massage perfection.
I love Jimmy Jane products because they have wowed me with the quality and thoughtfulness of their products time and time again. This massage stone was no exception. I think that the best thing about this line of porcelain massage products is that it's versatile, and some people will like one or two of the four available massagers better than the others.
The Contour M is one in a series of four porcelain massage tools (two of which are sold only together) by Jimmy Jane that fit inside each other and interlock, and can be used alone or together. Watch the video on this page for a demonstration that makes clear the range of possibilities. This massage stone, with a dome on one side and four points on the other is the M. The Contour I is a dumb-bell and the Contour Q includes two small balls with different textures--they can both be used with the M, but not with each other. So the M is a good place to start if you want to build up to the set. The I is a good place to start if you want more concentrated stimulation.
I would eventually like to have the whole set, but I decided to start with the Contour M because it fits my most immediate massage needs. My partner and I enjoy giving each other massages, and we both prefer the feel of a full palm, but it's easier to apply pressure with the finger tips and more straining to use the palm. The M makes it fairly un-straining to apply the broad, medium-intensity strokes that we both prefer. According to the very informative directions that accompany this product, the M is best for broader, shallower stimulation, the I is good for deeper kneading of large muscle groups. The Contour Q are two small, ridged balls that can be used alone or fit inside the indentation of the M to be used together.
I purchased the Contour M after playing with one in a brick and mortar store. I'm glad I bought it online though, because the price was lower even without the buyout assignment price reduction. It's great to live near stores that display things like Jimmy Jane products and other upscale toys, but it's pretty rare. Most people are not lucky enough to have the type of toy store near them that displays JimmyJane products, however. So, in that vein, I will continue to provide detailed information.
The M can be used in three different ways. The curved dome side provides diffuse, light pressure, which I love. You can press harder to make it more intense. My second favorite option is using all four points on the other side--especially soothing for tight muscles. You don't need to press hard to make it super stimulating because each point is pressing in at a different place. I am not super into using the single point, but people who know that they're doing might want to try focusing that on a knot to release it.
Most importantly, as surprising as it seems, all three positions feel absolutely comfortable to the hand holding the Contour M. The level of good, simple, effective design here is breathtaking.
It's made of durable, double-fired porcelain, and this material glides smoothly across your skin. A little massage oil or lotion goes a long way with this product.
It can be warmed--but not by putting in the microwave--or cooled in the fridge or chilled water, and I'm looking forward to trying out some temperature variation. I'd especially like to use it warm after immersing it in some hot, not boiling, water.

Experience
I find the M especially delicious when used on my back, the backs of my thighs, and my scalp. I also find it rather easy to use on my partner's shoulders and back--her preferred areas. Our hands take longer to tire out, so we can both enjoy sumptuous massages that make up for our lack of skills. You don't need to put as much pressure on the M as you do on your own hands, probably because it's made of a much firmer material than your own hands, and it's designed for massage stimulation.
Massage can be an essential part of fostering physical intimacy, and most lovers would benefit enormously from fitting it into their repertoire.
This would be a fabulous anniversary or holiday present for your loved one. God knows I'd love to be gifted with the Contour Q or some Jimmy Jane Beyond massage lotion. Hint, hint.
