Tastes like Crap, but Clean, Anti-Bacterial Crap!
This toy cleaner is quick and easy, but it does not really provide any instructions or help for consumers. The lingering taste is pretty nasty. However, I doubt any toy cleaner would taste delicious. As standard toy cleaner (used in conjunction with soap and water), the spray is handy, but there's nothing special about it. Personally, I still intend to shop around for other toy cleaners to compare taste and see if any have usable directions!

This item is still a bit of a mystery to me as it doesn't really provide any information. Rather than providing instructions, it assures you that the solution "fights bacteria with triclosan, an anti-bacterial ingredient". Well, I've certainly heard of triclosan as an anti-bacterial agent, and when looking it up on FDA's consumer updates, I can verify that it does kill bacteria. However, it can also be said that this is NOT a substitute for regular soap and water. In fact, the FDA states that evidence does not yet exist on whether or not using triclosan provides any additional protection over soap and water. Triclosan is still (as of this review) being evaluated on possible health risks, but currently, it is considered safe and generally a good line of defense against bacteria.
Spray-on cleaners should NOT be used as a replacement for soap and water! A good portion of disinfecting is mechanical; scrubbing soap on and rinsing it off can dislodge anything that may be sticking to your toy. Thoroughly washing with warm water and soap is the best way to clean your toys.
With that said, I believe every little bit helps when ridding your toys of bacteria. For anyone who wants either a quick fix to last until they have a chance to wash the toy in the sink or anyone who just wants to be as thorough as possible, spray-on cleaner is very simple. The bottle does not have directions, unfortunately, so I personally hold it 3-4 inches away from the toy and spritz a couple times until the entire toy (with the exception of any mechanical parts) is covered with the solution. The cleaner dries pretty fast, but it leaves an unpleasant taste on your toy. I recommend using this spray immediately after using the toy and then taking it to the sink and washing thoroughly with soap and water. This definitely helps save any nasty surprises later on if you decide to lick your toy.
The solution lasts a nice long time also! I bought my bottle with my first toy about 6 or 7 months ago, and I still have a good 2/3rds of the bottle to work with. Just try not to shake it up too much; the solution can gather a thick layer of bubbles (about an inch for mine). There's plenty in the bottle, so don't worry about having all of the solution gathering into a unworkable mass of bubble.
