Pros
Great taste, nice scent, inventive packaging, all natural.
Cons
Container makes carrying it in pockets a no-go, formula is somewhat waxy.
I'm one of those people who have to go through approximately 3 billion chapsticks/lip balms per year out of sheer necessity, and I have an awful time finding brands I want to use repeatedly. This little lip balm globe by EOS is one of them. I really do love this stuff, it has reliably protected my lips both through humidity and heat and dry/cold conditions.
To start with, the aforementioned globe packaging is immediately eye-catching and very cute. It stands out in a sea of balms in pots and sticks. It's a brightly colored, smooth-plastic ball a bit less oval than an egg, with a flat bit on the bottom so it sits nicely on a dresser and a thumb-sized indentation on the side, presumably to aid opening it. The lid twists on and off securely and easily. The shape makes it decidedly awkward to carry in a pocket but it fits well enough in a handbag, in my experience. Inside, the balm itself is a solid globe. Personally, I find the rounded shape of it handier to use than applying traditional balms with my fingertip (in the case of balms in tins/pots) and about on bar with your general stick applicators. Be warned though, the dome does eventually wear flat after repeated uses, making it slightly tougher to apply accurately. Luckily, it's also entirely transparent so no one will notice should your aim with it be less than delicate.
The formula has more than won me over. The flavor and smell is pleasant and fairly mild, definitely far from the in your face medicine-y or overly sugary like taste of other balms. It applies from the globe in an even, silky layer with little difficulty and requires few reapplications, even through drinking and eating. The texture is on the waxy side and it does tend to feel a bit heavy. I find this helps soothe my cracked, chapped lips, but of course your mileage may vary.
For those worried about the ingredients in the beauty products, it is natural, organic and paraben-free.

Experience
Personally, I have a really, really hard time finding lip balms that actually work. Either the smell or taste is off-putting, or it never actually does anything to mend my (usually very very chapped) lips. EOS is one of only a handful that I've bought that were actually worth the money. It's kept my lips from peeling in very dry, cold winters and ridiculously sweltering summers alike, and it's always got a place in my purse or on my bedside table. I really can't recommend it enough.
