Per the instructions, this is to be "sprinkled onto your partner" so that you may "savour the cloud" as the spanking progresses. It doesn't seem to buffer the blows or provide any protection, though I'm not aware of any product having such a capability. It's just an additional sensation/experience to your bondage or sex play.

This is also a "lickable" or "kissable" product, so application and use need not be limited to the buttocks or spanking. Get creative with application - where can you get your partner to lick? Do note that it is mentioned in multiple places (box, container, insert) to avoid contact with eyes, a common practice with anything not intended for eyeball contact.

This is a fine powder; somewhat finer than baby powder. It feels quite like baby powder as you glide it onto the skin - not quite silky, but not unpleasant. It flows quite nicely from the holes in the top of the container.

According to the packaging, this powder should have a coconut flavor/scent. I don't notice much of a scent, however, so I can't quite determine whether that is accurate or not. I wouldn't say that it actually tastes like coconut - just extremely sweet, almost as if you are licking powdered sugar off of the skin.

Ideally, the product won't stay put long, as you lick or spank it off of the skin. Avoid touching your fingers to fabrics, especially darks, after application, as it will show marks like any powdered substance on fabrics. A simple rinse with water or even swipe with a baby wipe will remove the product from any skin that you don't wish to hold the powder. I like that it is multi-use, which is quite fun. It doesn't smell or taste like coconut to me, but that's a plus in my book as I'm not particularly fond of coconut. This may be a letdown to those who like or are expecting coconut.

The packaging is cute in its own way. The company, Love to Love, indicates on the small folded paper insert that they are a line of erotic cosmetics, appearing to be high-end in that department. The box features a girl bent over with her hands on her shins, and is white with hot pink and black lettering and images, fitting the "Sex, Love, and Rock'n'Roll" motto quite well. The bottle is a negative of the box - where the girl and some lettering is hot pink on the box, they are black on the bottle, while lettering that is hot pink on the box is black on the bottle. The bottle has a cap with a small tap to lift it off by, and features four holes to dispense the product. The insert features the packaging image, information about the company's mission, usage and storage recommendations, and other products in the line, and is printed in black and white. The company mission and usage/storage information are all printed in several languages, though I am only able to positively identify English and Spanish. There is a total of eight different languages, so the company is thorough in ensuring that the majority of their potential customers will be able to read the insert.
