The candle arrived in a pink metallic box. The wax comes in a clear glass cylinder with a pink metallic label. This candle is a bit different than some competitors. The differences are more of a personal preference than negatives about the candle. The scent smells like a subtle buttercream cake. The scent is light when removed from the package, while melting, as well as on the skin. My husband prefers the light scent.

The wax is hot when poured from the candle onto your partner. We prefer to have candles with a lower melting point. As a result, I poured it into my hand first to let it cool before putting it on my husband. If you like it hotter, than you will like this one. The taste is faint and does not leave an aftertaste if you kiss your partner.

This candle seems to have a higher melting point than my other massage candles. Once lit, it took 50 to 60 minutes to melt enough wax for a back rub. Of course, it will take longer for full body rubs. Also, the wax was hotter than similar candles. Personally, I prefer cooler melted wax, but some like it hot. If you or your partner like a higher temprature, than this candle is for you.

Unfortunately, there is no pour spout. When you drip it on your partner, it will run down the sides and into the surface of the table or surface you set it on.
