I was super excited about the Kama Sutra Oil of Love, but its performance was a little disappointing. Perhaps I didn't read the product description closely enough or this is just how all oils are (I'm not experienced in this area) but I wasn't totally satisfied with Oil of Love.

First of all, I received this product and was immediately impressed by its packaging. It comes in a beautiful but subtle tin that can be repurposed or used to house the oil itself. Unfortunately, it wasn't sealed properly and the oil (in a seperate glass bottle corked inside the tin) leaked all over my invoice, the tin, and the bottle itself. It smelled great, but was a bit messy when all over the package's contents.

My partner and I tried it right away and loved it at first. It smells and tastes great, but it "warms" (aka burns) after a few minutes. This became uncomfortable and made me want to wash it off. The oil itself felt great until it started burning, but with my sensitive skin, this was really a problem for me. Additionally, it is for "external use only" meaning that it cannot be used in conjunction with oral. I was really excited about it facilitating oral play also, so this was a let-down. The product description claims that "a whisper-soft blow on these delicately scented oils warms the skin with a tingly glow" but that tingly glow isn't as delightful as it sounds for my sensitive skin.

Additionally, if this gets in your vagina, it will not be pleasant. We did not even use it as a lubricant, but I could still feel the oil (burning) from our hands when we had sex afterwards.

If you want a scented, edible oil for massages and don't mind the burning, it's the right product for you. If you wanted to take it further with your foreplay, look for something else.
