The Brown Sugar Scrub by Cake Beauty is a brown sugar based scrub. This scrub has big sugar pieces in it compared to some others I have tried. I have found this scrub to work great on my rough and dry skin. I got the Deserted Island scent (there is also one called It's a Slice). The scrub has a definite brown sugar scent to it, and is quite strong. I would recommend shaking the container to mix everything up before each use, I have noticed that when sitting, the oil has a tendency to all migrate to the bottom of the jar.
When ordering, you receive a 21oz jar of product. How long this lasts will depend on how much of it you use. I have only use it on my legs, 3 times a week for about 3 weeks, and have used less than half the jar. While this scrub is pricey, you can get your money's worth out of it. You can continue to rub the scrub until it is dissolved, or simply rinse it off to get the remaining particles off your body.
I did have a shipping problem with mine and after 2 tries gave up. The lids were broke both times and I got less than half a jar. I did receive this on a really good sale, if I had paid full price, I would not have been happy at all with the shipping of this. It was not wrapped in anything to help protect the jar, just placed in a plastic bag and put in the box. You may want to have a plastic bag ready when opening your box or opening it over a garbage can in case yours comes opened as well. It did not vacuum up well when I opened the box and it spilled all over the carpet.

I really enjoyed what I could use of this product. I probably will not be purchasing it again as I had such a hard time getting a container that wasn't broke in the mail though.

Can sugar scrubs make you break out? | 16 |
Thank you for viewing Brown sugar scrub – scrub discontinued review page!
I think I'll just stick to my homemade brown sugar scrub. It's way cheaper and probably works even better. I'm really sorry yours came broken twice. That's pretty ridiculous that it was broken AND that it was less than half full, considering the very over-price for this. I know the value/costs of making scrubs and I just think this is outrageous!
