Intimate caress shaving cream is exactly what it says, a shaving cream. Personally, I didn't find much of a difference between this product and using hair conditioner to shave. Intimate caress is angled more toward womens' use, but I don't see why a man couldn't use it too. When using this shaving cream, I used it on my lady parts and legs. I really liked how it worked on my legs--the next day they were still super-smooth and soft feeling. On the lady parts however, it was no different compared to using hair conditioner to shave. I still had uncomfortable bumps, and it didn't feel like it protected my skin at all. I was highly unimpressed with the "intimate" use of this product. I got the pomegranate grenade scent, and I was pleased with it. The scent was just enough--not over-bearing but noticeable.

The directions on the back of the bottle say to wet skin thoroughly, apply a thin, transparent layer, and shave like normal. They are serious about the thin layer! A little goes a long way with this stuff. This product is best used in the bath or the shower, not as a quick shave before a date.

Intimate caress shave cream is dermatologist and allergy tested, so it should be safe for anyone to use. In the case of a reaction though, always discontinue use and contact your doctor. It is water-based, and is consists of Water (Aqua/Eau), Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetrimonium Bromide, Colloidal Oatmeal, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avacado) Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Panthenol, Sodium PCA, Dimethicone, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Steareth-21, Sorbic Acid, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance (Parfum).

The texture of Intimate caress shave cream is comparable to a cheap lotion. It doesn't foam or anything special. It isn't thick, by any means, but doesn't just run off your hand like water, either. I like the consistency of this shaving cream. It is a silky-smooth feeling. There really isn't any feeling after you've gotten out of the bath or shower, though. Intimate caress comes in a pump-style bottle, which is nice. There isn't any way to get too much unless you continue to hit the pump on the top! There isn't a greasy feeling, and it washes off easy. As long as you aren't right under the shower head, this product will stay in place long enough to shave.

This product is not edible and should not be tasted. You can, if you want, but I'd imagine it would be like eating lotion. The smell is refreshing though. I have the pomegranate grenade scent. It is a light scent, but is noticeable. I think it is just right for my preference, but if you enjoy bolder heavier scents, this probably isn't going to suit you.

The product lasted through shaving, and then of course I rinsed the rest of it off. It rinsed off easily, with just water, and didn't leave a sticky or slimy feeling. I enjoy this product for use on my legs. They aren't as sensitive as the undercarriage, though. For the lady parts, it didn't make a difference for me. It didn't provide enough protection for my skin against the razor. I think if this product was a little bit thicker, it may have made a difference.

It doesn't come in a box, just the bottle, but the bottle is really cute. It says right on the bottle "Intimate caress, Ultra-rich moisturizing shave crème for women," so it isn't discreet if you don't want people knowing you shave. On the back of the bottle it has the ingredients and directions for use in four different languages, and the manufacturer's information.

There are no special features to this product.

I think this product is a little high-priced for the performance. I expected more skin protection out of it, but it was like using hair conditioner to shave. I'm not really disappointed and would recommend it to a friend, but just for shaving legs. For shaving personal areas, it really fell short. I still had the red bumps afterward, which I was hoping it would prevent.
