Use

Classic Erotica's Simply Sexy fragrance is a pheromone infused perfume meant to mingle with each woman's own natural pH balance and pheromones to produce a unique and intriguing scent. The product page states that this perfume "increases the naturally occurring body pheromone output from the wearer" and is "designed to entice and arouse while providing the ultimate sex appeal". The fragrance is made with a perfume alcohol base and has top notes of exotic citrus, middle notes of spicy florals, with dry notes that are warm, sexy and earthy. Simply spritz on your skin, making sure to hit your pulse points. Once the alcohol dissipates and all the notes mix with your own unique body chemistry, each wearer will end up with their own special scent.

Ingredients listed for the Simply Sexy perfume are:
Alcohol Denat (SD Alcohol 39-C), Fragrance (Parfum), Water (Eau), Copulandrone, Copuline-alike, Reconstituted Andronone

Copulandrone, Copuline-alike, and Reconstituted Andronone are all synthetic pheromones. Pheromones work to attract sexual partners by activating certain parts of the human brain.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The Simply Sexy fragrance is a thin, watery spray... exactly how you would expect any other perfume to be. If you spray a large amount on the skin, it will run, though you shouldn't need to do that. It doesn't leave a sticky or greasy feel on skin, either. There's not much to say here other than this is perfume, and it feels like any other perfume. Simply spray on and either let dry, or if applied to wrists, spray and rub wrists together (though some would advise against rubbing the skin together because it breaks apart the molecules of the perfume, causing them to degrade and dissipate faster).

Taste / Aroma

The product page describes this perfume as such: Top Notes - exotic citrus, Mid Notes - spicy florals, Dry Notes - warm, sexy & earthy. When first spraying this on, I noticed that all the scents were nicely blended together, and it smelled quite good. After the alcohol scent fades and the fragrance mixes with your body chemistry, you'll be left with your own unique scent. Perhaps the citrus will be more prevalent with an undercurrent of spice or floral. Or maybe you'll end up with a more floral, earthy scent. I can't really tell you exactly how this will smell on you because we all have our own natural scent to which this will react with. I'll explain more in the "Experience" section below about how this smelled on me and those I tried it on.

As with any other perfume, this is an external use only product, do not ingest. I didn't taste this, neither should you (though if you've ever accidentally tasted perfume, you'll already know that it isn't exactly yummy).

Performance

As I said above, when I first applied this to myself and others, all the different notes were blended together and it smelled quite nice. After about five minutes or so, the alcohol scent faded and each individual note mixed with my own natural scent and produced my own lovely fragrance. After a few hours, I was unable to smell it on my skin, but others were still able to. As with any other perfume, you will become used to the scent and be unable to detect it yourself while others will still be able to. If you were to apply this early in the day and head off to work or whathaveyou, you would probably want to spritz on a little bit more in the evening (again, just as you would with any other perfume). Though I was still able to smell it when I had accidentally sprayed this on my clothing (though it did not smell the same as spraying it on my skin).

The scent easily washes off in the shower, again, just like any other fragrance.

Packaging

The small bottle of Simply Sexy fragrance comes by itself (without an outer box) in the typical clear plastic bag Eden ships all of its liquid products in. The bottle holds .5 fluid ounces (15 ml) of product and has a small, folded piece of cardboard attached via elastic string. The bottle is glass and clear, with your average metal spray nozzle, cap, and small tube that goes down into the bottle to feed the perfume up to the spray nozzle. The only markings on the bottle are the name of the product, which is "Simply Sexy - sex attractant" (though the "sex attractant" phrase is rather small and not in your face). The bottle is rather discreet and looks just like your ordinary perfume spray bottle.

I have not noticed any leaking and I would think that the bottle would be easy to travel with (it is quite small)... just make sure to carry it in a small, plastic baggie to prevent any leaking (if there should be any) or in case of breakage because the bottle is glass.

Instead of typing up everything that the cardboard tag says, I've included pictures of every side.

Don't worry, the bottle does come with more product than what is pictured. I took these photos after I had used it several times on myself and other people.

Special Features

This fragrance claims to have attractant properties because of the use of synthetic pheromones. Though the actual effectiveness of such pheromone infused products is always up for debate.

Experience

For the past several years I haven't been much of a perfume person. I was able to wear fragrances when I was younger, but in the past decade, I've developed an increased sensitivity to scents. There are many perfumes that I would love to wear, and that I've tried to wear, but they all resulted in me having to hop in the shower shortly after applying because they produced nasty headaches and nausea. With most lotions and body washes, though, I might get a headache after a first use then nothing after as I've gotten used to the scent.

Why did I request a free assignment for perfume then, you ask? Well, to be honest, because I could. But I'll say this... I don't regret it!

I was a little hesitant to first spritz this on. Sniffing the nozzle gave a whiff of the actual fragrance and a giant noseful of alcohol scent. What I could smell of the scent before spraying it on was surprisingly nice, so I spritzed away! Personally, at first spray, I detected more citrus than anything. My mother said she smelled more floral. On my skin, all the notes were blended nicely together. Obviously I had to wait to see how this would react with my own body chemistry to see what scent I would end up with. Thankfully, while waiting for it to do its thing, this didn't give me even the slightest headache.

I spritzed this on my mother as well and we went outside to do some light yard work. After twenty minutes, I took a sniff of both our wrists and was pleasantly surprised with the results. On me, the fragrance took on a spicy floral scent with no citrus or earthy tones that I could detect. On my mother, it did smell more cirtusy with a slight hint of spicy floral.

We tried to figure out what exactly those citrus, floral, spice and earthy scents were. Of course we couldn't really nail it, neither could anyone else who smelled it. I thought I could detect a little bit of pink grapefruit, maybe some tangerine. But again, I wasn't really sure. As for the floral, after some more sniffing, we thought it resembled pink roses, without the pungentness. For the earthy smell, we kind of debated on whether it was sandalwood or patchouli. Again, no one was really able to nail what exactly the scents were, but everyone agreed that it did smell nice.

I also tried this on my aunt and cousin. My aunt ended up with a mostly citrus scent (slightly lemony) and an undercurrent of spice. On my cousin, the smell was similar to mine - spicy floral, but she had a bit of vanilla. Though no one could quite figure out the individual scents, it did smell lovely and unique on everyone who tried it.

As I said above, the scent lasted about as long as any other perfume would. It smells strong at first, after time, it starts to fade and because you become used to the scent, you can't detect it as well as someone else could. After several hours, simply spritz a little bit more on, like any other fragrance. Though, if you get some on your clothing, you will be able to smell it longer than you would on your skin, though the scent will not be the same as it would be on your skin.

Overall, I think this is a lovely fragrance. I wouldn't suggest someone buy this simply because they like citrus scents or floral scents because there is no guarantee that that is what you will end up with. If you like any of the notes that are in the fragrance, go ahead and get it. You'll just have to wait until you try it to see how it reacts with your body chemistry. I also think that the price is affordable as well. You could go to Wal-Mart and pick up a nice perfume (either the same size, or in some cases, smaller) for 20 to 40 dollars. But then you'll smell like everyone else. For the price of this perfume, you end up with your own unique scent that no one else will have (even though the results might be similar, they're never exactly the same).

When mine is gone, I'm definitely getting another bottle. For once I can wear a fragrance that I really like the scent of and that hasn't given me any headaches at all. Though as for the pheromone aspect... well, honestly, I can't really say that it did anything special. Since wearing this, I haven't been around a whole lot of men to see if they reacted to it... but I've been told that I smell nice! So that's definitely a win in my book.
Follow-up commentary
While I don't wear perfume everyday, I like to spritz this on every once in awhile. I still enjoy its scent and it has never given me any headaches.
