To say I was reluctant to try this massage oil was an understatement. I have a very strong dislike for anything with a lavendar fragrance. This quirk of mine could have very easily clouded my judgement. However I was determined to give this product a fighting chance.

Upon opening the bottle, I was pleasently surprised at the subtle smell of the oil. I was still skeptical though since how it smelt in the bottle compared to how it would smell on my body would be completely different.

I was right. The smell of it on my body was completely different. For the first couple minutes it was somewhat overwhelming not in a floral way like I was expecting but in a musky, think stuck in a car with your grandma and her grandma perfume for a couple hours sorta way. I was still willing to give this product a chance though, I am sure the fact that I was the one being massaged had nothing to do with that. After about 5 minutes the overwhelming musky smell turned into a subtle and enticing aroma.

As I let myself relax more, I realized that this oil was not much of an oil in terms of the greasy slippery feeling. It is more of a liquid powder feeling that left my skin feeling amazing but still slick enough for my husband to not have to keep applying over and over. Even when rubbing my own hands on the areas that the oil were applied it felt like, well satin, not oil. And it did not mess up my sheets. That in itself is a huge plus.

You should keep in mind that this is a massage oil, it is not a lube and should not be used as a lube. This oil is for external use only.

I have started liking this oil more. In my initial review, I made mention of the initial fragrance being a bit overwhelming. After using it a few more times I hardley notice it any more.
