Refreshing Cucumbers
Upon initial application of this hand cream your hands feel just amazing, incredibly soft and smooth. Within half an hour the magic disappears and you have to re-apply. If you have normal skin and/or you live in hot and humid climate, the cream might work for you. For me it did not provide sufficient moisture. On a plus side, it has an adorable packaging and is made from mostly natural ingredients.

Use:
The skin is naturally quite dry and because I often forget to wear gloves while doing the household chores, I am no stranger to chapped and cracked hands. As a result I have to rely on creams to repair and moisturize my skin. All of my favourite hand creams are thick and take forever to absorb, so I have purchased Eos Hand Lotion in a hopes that its lightweight texture would be able to provide decent hydration and fast absorption. According to Eos description, the hand cream is made from 97% natural ingredients and is free from parabens. It has also not been tested on animals. The hand lotion comes in three scents: Berry Blossom, Cucumber and Petals. I ended up buying the cucumber lotion because I have plenty of fruity smelling products already and I am not a big fan of floral scents, as I usually find them too strong.
Smell and texture:
This lotion does smell like cucumbers, although I can also sense a little melon in it. I am a huge fan of products that smell like confectionery goods, but this cucumber scent is surprisingly refreshing and nice. I feel that this is particularly great for a hot summer, when sweet scents can feel too heavy and cloying. The smell does not linger on the skin for long, which is a big plus for me. My sense of smell is quite sensitive and heavily fragranced products often result in allergic reactions. The lotion is white in colour and quite runny. Due to the silicones in the ingredient list, it spreads on skin like butter. Upon application it absorbs within seconds and does not leave your hands sticky. Unfortunately, it does not leave them moisturized either.
Ingredients are as follows:
Water (Eau), Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Cocoglycerides, Glyceryl Stearate, Dimethicone, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Avena Sativa (Oat) Meal Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Retinyl Palmitate, Fragrance (Parfum), Carbomer, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisotiazolinone, DMDM Hydantoin, Sodium Hydroxide, Tetrasodium EDTA, BHT.
Packaging:
Most of Eos products look incredibly cute and this one is not an exception. The tube of the hand cream is flat and rounded; it reminds me of those large polished pebbles that you can find on a stony beach. However, unlike the pebbles, this hand cream comes in three gorgeous pastel colours: turquoise, mint green and pale pink. I have mentioned before, these little colourful spheres are incredibly cute. The pebble is indented on one side making it easier to hold in a hand. What I really like about Eos is that no matter how funky their products look they are never uncomfortable to hold. The lid on the tube is quite tight. On one hand it stops the product from spilling inside your handbag; on another it can be a pain in the ass to open. Also, I would prefer a softer material for the bottle. Because the hand cream is enclosed in hard plastic it can be difficult to squeeze out the product.
