Pretty Shower Cap
The Doccia Me Satin Shower Cap by Principessa Beauty is a great shower cap. It's cute and it keeps your hair completely dry. The cap secures to the head with a stretchy elastic band so it really is a one-size-fits-most that will actually fit most. The price seems a bit high but the cap is great quality. I'd recommend the cap to those who want to treat themselves. It would also make a great gift.

Pros
Cute, stretchy so it should fit most people, roomy for longer/thicker hair, keeps hair dry.
Cons
price is a bit high (but it's worth it).
I recently purchased the Doccia Me Satin Shower Cap by Principessa Beauty, though I had wanted it since it first was introduced here at EdenFantasys. I was hesitant to buy it because I thought the price seemed steep. I’ve never bought a shower cap before so I really have no idea what the regular price is for one. I finally bought it as a treat for myself.
The packaging to the cap is really cute. It’s a small cardboard package that has both sides folded inwards. There is a black ribbon running horizontally at the centre front of the package with a sticker label at the centre of the ribbon. The label states the company name, product name, and package contents. The back of the package states the directions (which are fairly obvious) and the company contact information.
The cap is baby pink satin on the outside. There are words across the front of the cap that read, “la vita e bella”, which means, “life is beautiful” in Italian. When I was looking at the stock photo before purchasing the cap, I assumed the words were not on the cap but just an addition to the photo. The reason I assumed this is because the words look like they were printed onto the photo… the words are crisp and easy to read even though the cap is crinkled.
Beneath the phrase printed on the front of the cap, there is a large black bow made of ribbon. While the appearance of the cap is feminine, it can be worn by anybody. The inside of the cap is a clear plastic. The plastic is what keeps your hair from getting wet when you wear it.
The cap secures to the head with an elastic band. The elastic goes all the way around the inner area of the cap, approximately 1 inch from the bottom. The elastic makes the bottom inch of the cap look ruffled a bit. The more you stretch the elastic, the less ruffled it looks. You can see the cap on my model below. I style hair as a hobby so I have a mannequin head with hear to practice on. She (the mannequin head) has a smaller head but it will give you an idea of what it looks like when worn.
The elastic band area has an approximate circumference of about 12 ½ inches when the cap is not stretched. When I stretched the cap as much as I could, the circumference was approximately 32 inches. The depth of the cap is approximately 6 inches. If you need any other measurements, let me know. I wasn’t sure which other measurements would be important for the cap so I only included the ones above.
The cap is quite stretchy and shouldn’t be a problem for most people. Also, my hair falls a few inches below my bra band (centre back) and is disturbingly thick. My long, thick hair fit into the cap well with room to spare.
I wore the cap in the bath. We have a fairly deep tub and I like to have relaxing baths without having my long hair get wet. I put the cap on and while I soaked, the outer area of the cap did get a few splash marks on it. I checked my hair after my bath and my hair was completely dry still.
The satin material will get wet but the inner plastic lining protects your hair from the water. I haven’t used the cap for a shower yet but I plan to soon. I’ll update in the follow up review once I’ve used it a couple times in the shower.

Experience
...continued
Neither the packing nor the cap had any care instructions for the material so I did a quick search online and found care instructions for satin. The website that I had found basically states that satin should be hand washed in cold water with a gentle detergent and let the material air dry. It also states that satin should not be wrung or twisted.
When I had the few water spots on the satin, I didn’t wash the material because there were only a few wet spots. These spots eventually dried and were not visible. I like the little packaging so I kept it to put the cap back in when it’s fully dry.
I’m giving the cap a 5 out of 5 because it’s cute cap and it does what it’s supposed to—keep your hair dry. Also, it’s a one-size-fits-most that will really fit most. The only possible thing I can think of that is a con is the price. It seems a bit high to me, but then again, I don’t know what shower caps typically go for. I’d definitely recommend it to others who want to splurge on themselves.
