plumped, pouty, sensual and sexy lips - really???
I always try to find any possible redeeming qualities of the products I review. I just couldn't find any with this product. I didn't experience any of the promised results of this Lip Balm. Plumping just didn't happen. No sexy pouty lips for me. My lips felt totally the opposite of the promised results - softens, moisturizes, and sexual arousal or desire that results from an infused Aphrodisiac.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity/ Performance
When I removed the cap from the tube of Lip Balm, it overflowed out and over the edge. I tried to push it back down into the tube while twisting the Balm back into the tube. It wasn't going anywhere but all over the outside of the tube. I had to remove the excess Balm and wipe the tube clean before giving it a fair test.
Ready to test the Lip Balm, I twisted it up to the surface to apply to my lips. I found the texture, consistency, thickness, and viscosity to be quite soft compared to other balms I have. In fact, it felt creamy like a thick hand cream. I rubbed the Balm between my fingers for several minutes. It left a greasy film which I had to remove with a towel.
I felt like I had to slather the Balm onto my lips rather than gently rub it over my lips. Plus, I had to apply it using my finger due to its thin consistency. When I use a lip balm, I want it to go on smoothly, evenly and to not feel like a hand cream. I also don't like anything greasy on my lips. My other balms leave a softness that doesn't leave my lips feeling greasy or like they are coated with something.
I didn't care for how my lips felt 30 minutes later after applying the Balm. The upper portion of my lips felt a bit greasy. And the lower area of my lips felt somewhat dry. This has never been my experience with other lip balms. I had no desire to slather on any more of the Balm. I do want to add, though, that initially I did feel a slight tingling sensation on my lips. It didn't last the whole 30 minutes I left the Balm on my lips, though.
I want to include this list of ingredients that I copied from the product page in case there are any that you know you have a sensitivity to:
Olea Europeae (Olive) Fruit Oil, Beeswax, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Riicinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Caprylic Capric Triglyceride, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Propylene Carbonate, Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12, Simmondsia Chinesis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Menthoxypropanediol, Tetrahexyidecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Vanillyl Butyl Ether, Flavor
Taste / Aroma
I ordered Pomegranate Martini. I taste tested the Lip Balm several times to see if the taste might possibly vary each time. Following several separate applications, I experienced no taste difference. The first thing I tasted was a waxy kind of flavor. Then that was followed by an after taste of what I assume was the intended flavor of Pomegranate Martini. I really couldn't identify what the flavor was.
My next test was to see what the Lip Balm smelled like. Once again, I noticed a strong waxy scent. Also, I noticed a sweet scent as well. I wasn't able to really determine if there was any other scent.
Packaging
Dona Plumping Lip Balm comes in a .5 ounce tube like most other lip balms. You twist the Balm out of the tube by rotating the dial at the bottom of the tube. Popping off the cap at the top allows for application to your lips, or my finger, in this case. A paper label that circles around the cap has the words "aphrodisiac infused" printed on it. Other product identifying information including the flavor is printed on another piece of paper that circles around the tube. A list of the ingredients is also printed on this label.

Very descriptive review! This stuff sounds disgusting. Perhaps they should have packaged it in a squeeze tube. Thanks for sharing!
