Perfect Form

I love my Form 2, so I was really looking forward to seeing the other vibrators in Jimmyjane's Pleasure to the People line. When Form 3 was released, the design and reviews didn't wow me, so I skipped it. When I finally saw Form 4 I knew I had to have it. I was expecting strong vibrations, all the awesome features that Form 2 offers but without it's annoying "flaw", and the ability to use it for g-spot stimulation. I wasn't disappointed.

Use

Form 4 is the final installment in Jimmyjane's Pleasure to the People line. This toy was designed around the concepts of Power and Flex; it has a bit of give to adapt to your body, and an over-sized motor is placed in the tip to offer strong stimulation where you need it most.

Like Form 2 and Form 3 it can be used for clitoral stimulation, but Form 4 is more versatile than it's siblings and can also be inserted for g-spot stimulation. It is longer than most clit vibrators, so it doesn't fit as well between bodies as some other toys, but it can be used during sex in certain positions. I find that it is a good toy for my partner to use on me, since one toy can be used both internally and externally, and it's not long or hard enough to be able to hurt me, no matter how carried away he gets.

Form 4 is completely waterproof, so it can be used anywhere you would like. It is fairly small and can be locked, which is perfect for travelling. It's quiet enough that people living with others don't need to worry about being overheard.

Material / Texture

Form 4 is made from body-safe, non-porous silicone with a silky, matte finish. Jimmyjane says that “though strong and firm, it also has a bit of give- just like a good partner” and that the shape will adapt to your body. After hearing so much about the toy's flex, I was hoping it wouldn't be too floppy. I like lots of pressure for both clitoral and g-spot use, and prefer harder toys. Luckily, Form 4 is able to deliver the pressure I need. It's not rock hard like my Form 6 or Lelo toys, but it's still quite firm. The surface has the tiniest bit of "squish" to it, and the thinner portion in the middle of the toy is flexible, but on either end there is a hard surface beneath the silicone exterior. A visible seam runs around the outside of the toy, but I can't feel it when I insert the toy. I can feel it if I rub it against my clit, but it's not painful, and the way I usually hold it doesn't put the seam into contact with my clit at all.

Flexibility

Design / Shape / Size

Form 4 is shaped sort of like a bowling pin; it has a wide base and narrower neck with a bulbous tip. It's 5 inches long, with about 4 being insertable. The tip has a 4 1/4 inch circumference, and its 5 1/2 inches around at the largest insertable point. It is long enough to reach most g-spots, and the width should work for most people. The widest point is a little too thick for me, but I only need to insert about 2 inches to reach my g-spot, and it's 4 1/2 inches around at that point, which works well for me.

The base fits really nicely into the palm of my hand, and is easy to hold. The buttons are raised and are easy to locate and operate during use. They click when they are pressed.

It's wider than it is thick, so a cross section would be shaped like an oval rather than a circle. I find that for g-spot use, Form 4 works better turned sideways so that the largest point is applying pressure vertically against the upper wall of my vagina, rather than stretching it width wise.

For those who like a broader surface or pressure on their clit, Form 4 might be a better choice than Form 2. I'm usually one of those people, and while Form 4's design works well for me, I still prefer Form 2's more unique shape for clitoral use.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Vibrations

The vibrations are strong and rumbly. To me, sometimes deep, rumbly vibrations feel like they are strong enough, but too slow. Form 4 manages to be rumbly but fast, which works really well for me. The vibrations have an electronic feel and sound to them, which is different than most vibrators out there. It has the same type of vibrations as Form 2, but although Jimmyjane claims Form 4 "offers more power than any vibrator of it's kind" it is actually slightly weaker than Form 2. It is also slightly quieter. The motor is located in the tip, but the vibrations travel almost equally throughout toy, and can be felt pretty strongly in my hand. It doesn't bother me, but I know some people hate that feeling.

Controls and Settings

Form 4 has the same, easy-to-use controls as Form 2 and 3. There is a "+" button that turns the toy on and increases the speed of the vibrations, a "-" that decreases the speed and turns the toy off, and a "~" that cycles through the functions: steady vibrations, slow revving, fast revving, and pulsing. It remembers which pattern you used last, and will go back to it the next time you turn it on. There are 5 strength options for each function. There is also a secret mode that cycles through all the patterns, which can be accessed be pressing "+-+-+-", and requires you to press the "~" to go back to the normal controls. The controls can be locked by holding the "+" and "~" down for 1.5 seconds, which makes it easy for me to toss my Form 4 in my purse and take it to my boyfriend's house. It can be unlocked by holding the buttons down again, or by placing it on it's charger.

Charging

Form 4's charging base is a little different than the one that comes with Forms 2 and 3, but they can all be used interchangeably.

Form 4's charger has an extra ridge around the edge, which helps balance it's taller shape. The toy has a metal base, that connects with the 2 metal pins in the charging base.

The light will glow when everything is alligned properly, and will remain lit after the toy is charged. It can't be overcharged, so you can store your Form 4 on it's base if you would like to.

When you take Form 4 off of it's base, the light will blink to indicate the level of charge. 3 blinks = full charge, 2 blinks = medium charge, 3 blinks = low charge, 4 slow flashes = no charge. If they battery dies during use, the toy will stop and display the 4 flashes.

A full charge takes 2 hours, although you should charge it for 8 hours before your intial use. The battery will last up to 7 hours. I've found that it lasts about 2 hours when used on the highest constant setting. To extend the life of your battery, you should always keep it partially charged. Storing it fully discharged can negatively affect the battery's performance.

Care and Maintenance

The instructions say to clean your Form 4 with a damp cloth using mild soap and warm water, and dry with a lint-free cloth. Since it's waterproof, I don't bother using a cloth and wash it under running water with antibacterial soap or toy cleaner. The non-porous silicone could also be completely sterilized by wiping it down with a 10% bleach solution, although you should probably avoid getting bleach on the metal base. Make sure it is completely dry before placing it back on the charger. I keep my Form toys stored on their chargers, although Form 4 does tend to pick up a little dust when left out. I just give it a quick rinse before use, but you could also keep it stored in a toy pouch or plastic bag. Form 4 is compatible with water or oil based lubes. Silicone lube can damage silicone toys, so if you'd like to use it make sure to perform a spot test first.

Packaging

Form 4 doesn't have the most luxurious packaging out there, but it's attractive and informative. It comes in a modern looking white box with hot pink and gray accents. There are pictures and features of the product, and information about it's designers. The inside of the box is hot pink, and when you open the top flap you'll see the words HELLO SENSATION printed inside. Form 4 is encased in a white plastic insert, and it's charging base and cord are in a box.

The instructions contain lots of useful information, in 6 languages. It also comes with a 3 year warranty.
