Peony is Weenie and Bella is Doomed!
I was disappointed with the overall quality and size of this item, but in the end at least I have some new pretty colors to mix other palettes in!

This will be one of my shorter reviews, because the product doesn't take much information for you to get the overall picture of what you're getting into. This review is for Bella in Bloom: Peony Eye Shadow Palette. If you've stumbled over here looking for more information on a different shade, be aware that this is for the PEONY Palette but that I'm sure they are all the same except for shading.
I LOVE makeup and have tried many brands from all price ranges. I was really excited to get this shadow since I run out of eye makeup quicker then anything else and needed to replace some shades. Although the colors are nice, I was disappointed in this overall.
The compact comes with no other special packaging and is just heat sealed in plastic. I actually prefer items that come like that because it's less waste and easy to open. The size of the compact is perfect for traveling and keeping in your purse. It could even slip into your pants pockets, however, I wouldn't recommend trying this since the compact itself seems cheaply made. The casing of the compact feels to be made of a coated cardboard.
SIZING:
4" x 3 1/8"
1/4" Deep
Only weighs about .15 oz
Each circle of color is 5/8" in Diameter, 1/8" Deep
The brush applicator is less than 3" Long
The shades included in this compact are:
Sweat Pea - A shimmery pale tan
Bloom - A shimmery pale rose
Nectar - A shimmery copper brown
Shine - A shimmery off white with a blue undertone
Tulip - A Shimmery slightly more pink then peach
Trellis - A mocha with a purple undertone
Ginger - A shimmery bronzed brown
Petunia - A Shimmery rose paler then the Bloom above
The applicator brush is made of plastic and metal with a foam tip on each end. It snaps under the colors and is a bit difficult to remove without bending the brush. It's about the same type of brush you would find in a supermarket compact.
Everything is set in a plastic cut out board, but it has a bit of a spongy feeling to it which should prevent cracking for the most part. The colors seem to be in an aluminum disk set into each cut out for them and SHOULD be removable, however I haven't tested this out. It seems to me when your colors are done you can tap the foils out and put your own loose powders in, if desired. It should also be noted that the compact seems to have a magnet to keep it closed, but if you refill with loose powders, you should still never tip this.
Most of the colors have a shimmer to them, however it doesn't last long. Overall, the eye shadow fades quickly without the use of a primer. I have yet to try them with a shadow primer, but from what I've experienced from the overall quality of this, I don't believe it will make much of a difference. Everything was done neatly, but there was just no SHAZAM with this item that makes it worth the money. You can find the same quality in your local supermarket for a fourth of the price. The colors are pretty, but the mix really doesn't give you a undertone, overtone, and lines in the right degree of shades without needing another compact for more fancy wear.
If you have the money and want to add to your collection of shadow, go for this! It is a decent enough item. However, don't expect to get what you paid for in this case.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
After using this here and there when I couldn't find a color to match my other shades, I've found these compartments empty very easily. I think this item would be best for a travel set when you don't want to pack all your makeup, or for younger girls.
