Pathetic Fraying Petals of Sad
This is a horrible product. The petals are frying like crazy, smell bad, and overall would probably be more fit for a hobo.

I picked this item up on sale, partially to throw something cheap and extra into my order, partially because I really wanted to see if I could pick up something nice to throw onto the bed before sexy times - even if it's kind of a silly thing when you're barely paying attention to it. Nonetheless, I like pretty flowery things, so this seemed like a good way to go. I was very disappointed, however.
The item itself is kind of sad. The petals come in a pretty good-sized container (about 150% the size of a soda can), but there is not an outrageous amount of petals in the container. There's maybe a couple small handfuls loosely packed into the container, which is frankly a waste of container material. The small amount is a shame, because (even from the get-go) the piddly little petals are coming apart. Tiny pieces of thread dot the inside of the package. Nearly every single one of the petals is fraying at the edges. They had a pretty weird shape in the first place (certainly not rose petal-like; maybe a crazy lily/rose hybrid?), and you can see the dye job on the fabric edges. The entire thing reeks, smelling of old fabric and machinery. (This perhaps can be solved with some perfume?)
This is really not something I'd want to use in my bed, or on my floor, or on anything, really. The fraying would make clean up-irritating. Just handling the smelly little things has managed to get little frayed pieces all over my black shirt. There is nothing really sexy about fraying petals with the smell of the industrial part of town. Maybe it could be used for sexy hobo roleplay? Sprinkle some of these on a bed of newspaper and cardboard and bam!

These stay in my art cupboard now. I wonder if I can repair the edges and use them for an art project. They're useless in any sexy setting.

Thank you for viewing Dona rose petals – gift set for couples review page!
Thank you for sharing though. Looking at these in their lovely colors, I would have ended up buying a few, so I'm glad I read your review just now. I'll remember not to add them to my orders. Thank you for the info on the smell, dye-job and fraying bits of fabric. Hey, I just got an idea! I bet you could chop up fabric and make your very own petals, if you just really wanted some. Add some cheap dye, and there ya go! Well, it might've sounded better in my head... lol.
