First Impressions

DONA packaging is so lovely; however, I was very surprised when I opened the box and found such a small tub of body paint. It's a tiny little thing tho it is 2floz, just a little small for how big the packaging is, this does make it ideal for traveling with though. It's almost over kill, but it does allow them to have all the information on the box, so I absolutely understand why it's so large. As well it cushions the little hard plastic tub. I think the little paint brush it came with is adorable. I do agree with other reviewers, if you didn't know what this was you'd just think it was some type of cream.

I was also very surprised when I read "Refrigerate after opening" on the label of the little tub a day after I had opened it, oops.

The Scent and Feel

Definitely a very fake strawberry smell, a lot like those Trolli strawberry cream puff gummy candies. Very sweet and strong of a scent. It also very much tastes exactly like that as well. I was very surprised when it was actually flavored since all read was kissable and I was SOLD. Imagine my surprise when I gave it a taste and wanted to dip my finger in it afterward.

After being in the fridge it is very cold; however, I can not really put my finger on how to describe the texture. It goes on very smooth and can be spread very thin with no color showing from the paint. Once dried, it's a little tacky, not enough to stick to your finger, but enough to know something is on the skin there. It also has a little bit of a shine when it's painted and dried. Personally I expected a little more color since it's "paint", but I am very satisfied overall especially with the surprise that it really was edible. I've been steered wrong by that word in the past.

The label is very simple on it, it states exactly what it is, as it states on the box and to refrigerate after opening. There isn't much other information. There is a metallic food seal in it to show it has not been opened. On the bottom of the bottle, there is a lot of numbers and a shelf expiration date.


Does It Work?

For the bit of edible, kissable body paint, absolutely. However, things like aphrodisiac/pheromone infused goods it's always hard to tell if it is just you THINKING something is working vs if it really is. I will say this paint is very fun to use and a very sexy time too.

With that, I do not recommend using this internally since it is very sweet smelling and it does have Sucrose in it which is a compound which is the chief component of cane or beet sugar as well as a few other iffy things you really don't want inside certain areas.

On the bottom of the box it says "Refrigerate after opening" as well that it has a 3-month life after opening. It has a symbol much like most make up products.

Great product for only having a 3 month lifetime. We got quite a few uses out of it even tho the tub was a little smaller than expected. The 3 months is the time marked on the bottle, much like how lipstick and shampoo have it, with the little cosmetic image with a notion of 3m intended use before the product is "bad". We certainly enjoyed it for our honeymoon and other adventures.
