This is a lovely candle, smells wonderful, and works beautifully for wax play. What it does not work well for is massage. It's great for light wax play for people who are nervous about the pain associated with such things; however, this is not a massage candle. Also this candle is only very lightly flavored, and it leaves an unpleasant texture on the tongue that lingers far longer than the very very light flavor. I do not recommend licking, kissing, or otherwise ingesting this candle. It does however enhance the mood, smell lovely, and is generally nice, but if you're going to advertise something as a flavored massage candle, it should bloody well have a flavor, and should be capable of being used as massage oil.

Again, although this is neither really flavored, nor much of a massage candle, it's certainly been a success in terms of wax play.

Admittedly the temperature in my bedroom was a little low when we tried this candle out, but it certainly wasn't a lot colder than the average house (maybe 65 degrees) so this might work a little better in a warmer room (perhaps an 80/85 environment would have been better)

When melted, this wax pours like a slightly oily wax, think a very paraffin heavy candle, and it does stay "melty" a little longer than other candles, but very shortly after landing on the skin, this turns right back into wax... which has the texture of... (somehow unsurprisingly) wax. If spread around quickly after being poured on the skin, it leaves greasy, but infuriatingly non-slippery layer on the skin (it feels a bit like the residue of a lanolin/beeswax heavy moisturizer). It also, when it hardens, seems to be generally a fairly soft creamy wax, but there are odd little things I can only describe as "crusties" which make the prospect of attempting to massage anyone with this very questionable indeed.

If you run your finger over the unlit candle it feels a little bit like a very firm lip balm (think burt's bees in the little pot), and you will get a sort of "lip balm" feeling on your finger.

The flavor is very slight, in fact you can taste it for a moment, and then it's just wax... in your mouth. The smell is lovely, sweet and fruity, very much like a TGI Friday/Mr. Boston Official Bartender's Guide Sex On The Beach (the version made with vodka, midori melon liqueur, cranberry juice and pineapple juice) minus of course the scent of alcohol. You can really smell the midori and pineapple juice in particular. It is a very sweet smell, and if you're not fond of "melon-y" scents I would not recommend this candle, however I love the scent of midori, so I love it.

This product works beautifully for wax play, warm enough to draw a little gasp, but not hot enough to burn, and runny enough to pour, but not so runny you ended up with wax on the bed sheets. It's also quick cooling so you don't have to worry about extended exposure to the heat creating burns. However, as an edible massage candle this simply does not work well. It hardens on contact with the skin and has an odd gritty texture on the tongue when licked. As well, although it's listed as flavored, it's not flavored enough to be really pleasant. Sure there's a little sweetness, but the flavor is less than that of a lip balm and doesn't last as long as the unpleasant gritty texture.

If you rub the wax into skin VERY quickly upon its landing, it has a heavy/greasy feeling much like a lanolin and beeswax moisturizer. I don't think in needs to be washed off so much as wiped thoroughly with a cloth or paper towel, as it's very much a "balm" type product, and a thin layer left on skin for a long period moisturizes wonderfully. The morning after trying this candle (and wiping off most of the wax on a paper towel) I had the softest skin I've ever felt.

This comes in a lovely little aluminum tin with a matching lid that closes very securely. It has a shiny sticker label on top of the tin in brown and pink with silver lettering and accents which proclaims it to be "Sex Kitten Wicked Wax, edible massage oil and candle" and then in a little silver heart with brown lettering "Meowgasm" and on the next line in the heart "sex on the beach."

Needless to say, this is not the most discreet packaging ever. The back label is white with black lettering, featuring instructions for use, a warning about the potential risks of fire/heat, and a list of ingredients.
