Not So Black Light

The kit itself is a bad idea. Honestly, it will provide some long-lasting amusement as long as you don't expect it to actually work like it's supposed to. The incense smells wonderful, the massage oil isn't bad, the black light bulb works great, but the body paint just doesn't glow like it's supposed to.

I can't say that we ever pulled this one out again. It's probably still sitting somewhere in our closet. So not much to update you guys on.

    For a stick incense you can use a shallow dish with about a half inch of either salt or sand. Just rest the incense across the salt or sand and let it fume. You can also use a short votive candle filled with salt or sand and stand the stick up in the center of the holder.

    This looks like the kits that used to be sold by a local music store...and sounds like it works about as well! LOL

    I'm not surprised this kit didn't work as you'd imagined. The "black" light bulb is really just tinted glass. We would steer people away from these when I worked at Glow. It's really just a purple light bulb.

    Next time you break it out, get a fluorescent bulb. That will put out real UV light and not just darkened light.
