Not Perfect But Close!
Bella Il Fiore makes a lovely product that looks classy and wears easily. The color is sheer and gorgeous and it is easy to change your lips from daytime to nighttime. For versatility this lip gloss gets high marks. It has a lightly gritty feel to it on the lips but all in all it is a great product that won't cause your man to avoid kissing you because he fears looking like he is wearing lipstick himself!

Pros
Sheer and lovely color, high gloss finish, beautiful packaging
Cons
Will 'kiss off', doesn't last through dinner, slightly gritty feel
As a woman with full lips I know that to dress up the lips as well as the eyes makes the face look like it is wearing a mask. I prefer to look as natural as possible and I wear glasses which draws attention to my eyes. So I tend to dress up my eyes with lovely rich colors and leave my lips with a more natural and lighter color.
I knew before I ordered the Perfect Pout Lip Gloss Duo from Bella Il Fiore that I liked other lip products from the company so I had very high expectations. I am pleased to say I was not disappointed in the color, how it sits on the lips or the feel of the base color coat. I was a tiny bit disappointed by the glittery gloss overcoat but it is a small concern easily overlooked.
The gloss I chose was the Tokyo which is a lovely true red with a lighter pink, shimmery gloss to put over the top for just a bit more drama. The red gloss has a good amount of mica in it so, by itself, it is shiny and eye catching. What I like about the base coat is that it is also sheer so it doesn't impart a heavy amount of color.
It is stickier and heavier than a traditional gloss but it doesn't run all over the place or rub off easy. It isn't a lip stain so it will have to be repaired after eating, kissing or just with time. The nice thing is it won't make your guy look like he is in drag if he kisses you, a bonus for us!
The top coat is super shiny and the mica inside makes it look very glittery in the tube. When applied to naked lips it imparts a subtle shine, a blush of color and will suit almost every skin tone. It really pops when it is stroked on to the top of the base coat. The color is subtly richer and the glossy shine begs to be tasted! It is heavy and hair will stick to it unpleasantly if it is windy outside.
It does 'kiss off' but being so very sheer it doesn't color the object you kiss and is easily wiped away. One nice thing is it takes quite a lot of kissing or eating to remove all traces of the base and top coat.
What I found off putting was that the high amount of mica in the product makes it feel slightly gritty and dry on the lips. The gritty feeling is intensified when you wear both the base and top coat. Since I only do that when we are going out on a dressy occasion it is easily tolerated.
I tend to wear the base coat when I need a bit of color or I don't dress up my eyes dramatically and the top coat alone when I just want a hint of color and some shine.
The product has a sweet smell that is hard to desctibe but is lightly fruity, it doesn't have an appreciable taste. It fades with time fairly quickly and doesn't clash with perfumes or hair products in terms of scent.
I love the type of tube and application system that this loss offers. Each end of the tube twists off to reveal the applicator. The base coat is larger, naturally, and offers a wand type applicator that is really popular for glosses. The color goes on evenly but needs two 'dips' into the tube of color if you want a darker, more noticeable color.
The top coat offers a paint brush type applicator that is true genius! It is easy to lay down the glossy coat without stroking the color from the base coat off and tainting the sheer color of the top coat product left in the tube. The top coat goes on thick and really glossy with just one light stroking across the bottom lip.
The whole tube is beautiful and the name of the company along with a simple stylized B add a touch of class to a simple lip gloss elevating it to a lovely tube to carry in an evening bag. It is 3.75 inches long and a very slim half inch in width making it small enough to fit in even the smallest hand bag or makeup case.

I really like this product and I will be buying a few of the other colors in the near future. Bella Il Fiore is a great company and their cosmetics, though pricy, don't break out my skin or cause my guys problems should it rub off onto their skin. It washes completely and easily away but doesn't rub off easily getting everywhere during a date. I don;t know about the other ladies out there but I really hate my makeup leaving traces on my clothes or wearing off in just a few minutes. My skin, however, values open and clear pores so this product is the best of all worlds.

The tube is running a bit low and I will be buying another as soon as it's gone. I can't give a higher recommendation than that!
