Not impressed by this shave gel
I was really hoping I'd like the Dona Shave gel. When using this gel, I feel like I'm shaving with regular shampoo. I don't even like the scent I tried. It doesn't leave my skin feeling smooth and soft after use like it's supposed to. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Doesn't leave me feeling soft, just like shaving with shampoo
The Dona shave gel didn't impress me at all. I actually received this product months ago. I dislike it so much that I barely use it, to the point where there's a lot still left. I thought I would try it when I noticed the size is a 9.5 oz bottle, with a price of $9.99. No wonder it was so cheap for the size!
The Dona Shave Gel comes in a 9.5 oz bottle with an ugly blue label. The scents you can choose from are Blue Lotus, Camu Camu, Pomegranate, Acai, Mangosteen, and Goji Berry. I chose the Acai. To dispense some gel, you just press down on the top. The gel isn't any color, it is clear. When it comes to the texture and consistency, it's just like shampoo. The Acai scent is pretty strong. I'm sure a lot of people will like the smell, but I didn't. After applying some gel to my leg, it was so runny it slid off. This shave gel didn't lather at all, but when rubbed in, the color turned from clear to white. The performance was just like shaving with shampoo, which I've done numerous times when I've run out of shaving gel. This product definitely sucks when it comes to shaving my intimate area. It doesn't leave any parts of my body feeling smooth after use.
The ingredients for the Dona Shave Gel are:
[x]Purified Water [x]Sodium C 14-16 Olefin Sulfonate [x]Sodium Cocomphoacetate [x]Cocoamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine [x]Zea Mays (Corn) [x]Propanediol [x]Acrylates Copolymer [x]Glycerin [x] Cocoamidopropyl Betaine [x]Polyquarternium 007 [x]Polysorbate 20 [x]Saccharide Isomerate [x]Disodium EDTA [x]Benzyl Alcohol [x] Methylchloroisothiazolinone [x]Methylisothiazone [x]Euterpe Oleracea (Acai) Fruit [x]Fragrance
When it comes to my shower products, I put them in the Edens tote bag and hide them in my room so no one uses them. With this shave gel, I keep it in the shower for everyone to use. Of course, no one wants to use it, so it just sits there.

Follow-up commentary
1 day after original review
It's been sitting in my shower for months. I only use it when I'm out of my regular shave cream.

Shame that you were so unimpressed!

Weird I love it. When did you buy it ? Cause in reviewing the mangosteen right now and the ingredients are totally different than listed on the product page

I'm glad you love it, but I prefer shave creams/gels to not be similar to shampoo. If I wanted something like shampoo to use on my legs, I'd just purchase cheap shampoo. To each it's own, I guess. I'm a big fan of the Coochy shave cream. I've actually had this since October or November. You're right...There are quite a few more ingredients than what the product page states.
