This product is exactly as shown online. The size of your average hairbrush, and can be traveled with if you have a plastic ziplock baggie to store it in. I didn't really like how it did not come with better storage. I would have expected a pouch at the very least. I assume that the company thinks we all want to save cardboard boxes as a form of storage! However, this is not my biggest complaint.

I expected more shimmer, most definitely. It doesn't make me sparkle unless I pat myself down for at least five minutes total. But let me be clear, it does sparkle. But you have to rub the sparkles around and once you do that it isn't at all noticeable. If you don't rub it around, it all gets stuck in one spot on your skin and looks really weird!

I didn't notice any sort of allergic reaction to this product, and I have very sensitive skin. I was worried there would be a reaction, but this product is literally just sparkle powder. No fragrances or anything else added, which is good for me. I only wish there was more sparkle to go around. (I have the silver sparkle wand). I may try the gold and see if I get better results.

This wand comes in a plastic bag (breaks when opened) that is disposable and is inside of a cardboard box, the plastic bag cannot be used for storage since it has to be ripped to remove the wand. You could, I suppose, carefully use scissors to open the bag but that seems like too much work to me.

The box is discreet since this isn't a sex toy. It is for cosmetic use. The box can be used for storage if you don't mind having cardboard around as a storage item. I wouldn't leave this out without a bag just because you lose the sparkle powder if it falls or gets knocked around.

The box says to pat lightly, however I found I had to pat this pretty hard to see any powder coming out. I wanted to mention that because I read a review on a blog where a woman was frustrated and couldn't get the powder to come out. I emailed her to pay harder (common sense?) and it worked! She was a darker woman and was very satisfied, where I am pale skinned. This may have something to do with my discontent with the amount of sparkles.

This is nice if you have darker skin. I tried it on my husband's arm and it looks great. But for whatever reason, I cannot see it on my skin after rubbing it in. I do want to note that one should not apply this immediately after applying lotion or showering. All the powder will stick in one spot.

I purchased the other shimmer wand and it looks much better with my skin tone. So be careful when choosing and choose accordingly to your skin type.
