My Hands (Almost) Feel Like Velvet

While this creme is intended for your hands, you can go crazy and use it anywhere you want extra moisture. A little bit goes a very long way, so even if you do pamper your whole body with it you should still have it for a while.

Use

I got this in the Good For You Milk Made Duo set, but I wanted to write a more thorough review on each individual part as well.

This creme is meant for, you guessed it, your hands! Packed with awesome butters and vitamins, you can use it on its own or paired with the scrub. You can even use it anywhere else you want, if you're feeling a bit rebellious, and pamper your feet, elbows, knees, or anywhere else on your body. A little bit goes a long way, so you won't have to worry about running out right away.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This creme is surprisingly thick. Well, that's not entirely right. It stays in place surprisingly well for how thin it feels and how easily it spreads out. It squeezes out of the tube very easily, and it's not hard at all to control how much you want. It stays in place until you spread it around, and goes on smooth and wonderfully. Between the fingers it just has a smooth creamy consistency and doesn't leave you feeling greasy or sticky.

Here are some pictures for you: a closeup of the creme and showing that same blob staying on my finger upside down.

Taste / Aroma

The bottle itself doesn't list a scent, but according to the product page and the kit this came in it's a raspberry vanilla. You can also get it in unscented, it's a slice (orange), or desserted island (coconut vanilla). The raspberry vanilla is hard to pinpoint a scent for. The first thing I think of when I smell it is a candle shop that I visited a while back that had a lot of homemade candles. It smells a lot like candles that are trying to smell like baked goods would smell, and like a sweet candy. Fortunately, the scent doesn't seem to last very long, and isn't very strong.

Performance

A little bit goes a surprisingly long way. A pea sized dollop will easily moisturize both of my hands and go most of the way up my elbows. My hands felt freshly lotioned but not in a way that was overly bothersome and was easily forgotten about. It cleared up a few dry patches and kept them from coming back most of the day and I actually felt moisturized.

Packaging

The bottle is 3.4 fluid ounces and can easily be left out with no one questioning you, or tossed into a purse to travel with. The front has the brand name and the fact that it's a milk made velveteen hand cream and a cute little blurb. The blurb is even printed in French!

The back lists the ingredients as water, glycerin, cetyl alcohol, glyceryl stearate, cetearyl alcohol, ceteareth 20, dimethicone, stearic acid, althaea officinalis (marshmallow) extract, milk lipid, mangifera indica (mango) seed butter, butryospermum parkii (shea butter), phenoxyethanol, caprylyl glycol, sorbic acid, parfum (fragrance), carbomer, sodium hydroxide, tetrasodium edta. For the most part unless you have really sensitive skin you should be fine using this.

Experience

At first, I thought the price of this cream was a bit off putting. I mean almost $20 for a 3.4 ounce tube of cream? You've got to be kidding me right? But after spending more time using it, I would definitely feel comfortable in purchasing it on its own again once this one does run out. It doesn't leave my hands feeling super lotiony, but does leave them feeling moisturized. It sinks in quickly and I can get on with my life without feeling like I have to wipe my hands off. The only thing I'm not that hot on is the scent, but because it's so light it doesn't bother me much.
