Mouthwatering Cherry
The Suntouched Edible Candle is strongly scented but very beautiful. The wax melts easily into a massage oil that is a treat to use. It provides a perfect surface for a deep tissue, or a hot stone massage. It moisturizes the skin and while it doesn't have the best taste in the world the amazing scent more than makes up for this. A lovely addition to a massage basket!

Pros
Low heat melting, great blend of oils, non staining.
Cons
Very strong scent might bother some.
The Suntouched Edible Candle is very substantial at 3 inches in height and approximately a 10 inch circumference. It's shaped like a heart and comes in an aluminum tin. The cherry scented candle lid has a picture of a mouth biting at some cherries. It doesn't scream sex and can be safely left on the bedside table. If you leave the lid off the candle it will perfume the whole room, something to remember if you are sensitive to heavy scents. This candle is STRONGLY scented, which works for me but can bug sensitive noses. My candle tin came slightly dented on one side but it isn't a deal breaker. The site claims that there is a small plastic spoon that comes with the candle but alas mine did not come with one. It's not a huge deal since the oil pours cleanly from the tin.
After taking a minute to appreciate the beautiful creamy white candle and cherry scent scent I trimmed the wick and lit it. The oil almost immediately began to melt and after about 15 minutes I had a small pool of warm oil. Since I only had enough time to just try out the candle I didn't wait for the entire top layer of the candle to melt I just poured off what I had and rubbed it between my palms. It was about a half dollar sized amount. Since Sigel and I had not been much into candle play I didn't pour it directly on his skin, but I could have as it was just warm even with the wick still lit.
The candle is made of Soybean oil, coconut oil (great for people on thyroid meds), hemp seed oil, apricot oil, safflower oil, avocado oil, vitamin E and flavorings. With all these lovely oils it was no wonder that as a massage oil it was superb! It was smooth and provided a great medium for a deeply relaxing neck and shoulder rub. I was pleasantly surprised at how far the oil spread before soaking into the skin slightly. It didn't leave Sigel feeling waxy and his skin smelled lovely. I tried tasting the oil after the massage but it had almost no flavor and it wasn't all that nice. For me the smell was better than the taste.
Later on when we had the chance to allow it to burn until the entire top had melted there was enough oil for a full back massage and it took only about 45 minutes to completely melt. This candle should provide quite a few full body massages. I doubt it would be all that interesting as a candle play type oil since it doesn't get very warm, this candle wax has a low melting point. It works perfectly with a hot stone massage and cleans off easily. We have left the oil on overnight and it didn't stain our sheets or cause skin irritation. The oils left our skin soft and supple. After a nice hot shower all traces of the oil were gone though the scent lingered a bit.
This oil is great for cracked elbows and heels as well as itchy, dry, winter skin.

Follow-up commentary

We haven't used this candle much as a massage oil but that is because we have so many to choose from though we would all recommend that if you are looking for a great warm oil rub down you try the suntouched candles. The candle sits by the bedside because Sigel loves the scent (we have the cherry scent) and it is still strong even witht he lid on! The candle adds some lovely ambience to the bedroom and is great when you are taking a bubble bath. When I'm done with the bath the oil makes for a superbe elbow and heels moisturizer. We still have well over half the candle left, definite value for the money.
