Mmmmm, Cake!
The Vanilla Snow Woman trio includes 3 yummy smelling bath and body products, and is a great way to brighten up a dull winter day. If you love dessert scented products, I recommend getting this while you still can. I really love the body wash and body mousse. Unfortunately, the lip gloss gave me a reaction, so if you have sensitive skin you may want to skip this set, or give the lipgloss to someone else who doesn't. Even though I can only use 2 of the 3 products, it's still worth it to me.

The Vanilla Snow Woman Glistening Trio by Cake Beauty is a limited edition kit that includes Snow Woman glistening body wash and body mousse, along with Pink Icicle lipgloss. It comes in a cute box, and would be prefect for giving as a gift, or for treating yourself.
I had already tried the lipgloss from this set, and experienced a reaction to it, so I knew I wouldn’t be using that. I love dessert scented body products, so I still wanted to give the rest of the kit a try. I kept the body wash and mousse for myself, and gave the lipgloss to my best friend. She loved it, and had no issues with irritation.
Since I’ve already reviewed the lipgloss, you can read about it in detail here. In this review, I will be focusing on the body wash and body mousse.
Body Wash
The body wash smells like sweet vanilla cake batter. The package describes the body wash as lightly scented. To me, it has the perfect amount of scent – it's definitely noticeable, but not overwhelming at all. It smells great while I’m in the shower. The scent lingers slightly on my skin, but it’s quite subtle and only lasts for a few hours.
I like a lot of lather, so I always use more body wash or shampoo than is really necessary. When used with a bath pouf, a loonie sized amount (that’s a 1" wide coin for non-Canadians) was enough to cover my body in a thick layer of lather. When I used it without a pouf, I had to use about twice that much to feel like I got enough.
I tried using it as a bubble bath, but it didn't produce enough bubbles. You'd have to use about a quarter of the bottle for each bath to get a good amount.
The body wash is shimmery, but none is left on the skin. It leaves me feeling fresh, clean, and lightly moisturized. It it is enough to add moisture to the areas where I get slightly dry in the winter, like my lower back, and my legs after I shave them. It isn't enough for drier areas, like my elbows. I find some body washes are too moisturizing for me, and leave a bit of a greasy coating on the areas where I don't get dry. The glistening body wash rinses clean, and there is no residue left behind. If you have dry skin, it won’t be enough for you, and you’ll need to use lotion afterwards.
Body Mousse
The body mousse also has a light, vanilla cream scent. It smells a bit different than the body wash does, and I don’t like it quite as much, but it’s still really nice. When first applied, I can detect some tropical, nutty undertones along with the vanilla, which makes sense, since the mousse contains coconut oil and macadamia nut oil, along with mango seed butter. Throughout the day, the vanilla scent fades, until I’m left with a predominantly coconut scent.
I have no idea why this is called a mousse, because it isn’t one. Mousses have a light, airy texture. This is a thick, creamy lotion. It’s thicker than most body lotions I’ve tried. It can be a bit difficult to dispense. I find I have to shake it down a bit, and it requires a pretty firm squeeze. It isn’t a huge problem now, but I'm sure this will get worse as the bottle becomes more empty. Once it’s dispensed, the product is thick enough that a dollop will keep it's shape on the skin, and doesn’t move or drip at all, even when turned upside down.
It is quite moisturizing, and feels a bit more emollient than my skin really needs, but it still absorbs nicely and leaves my skin feeling silky, not greasy. A little goes a long way, so I only use about a nickel sized amount for each leg and a dime sized amount for each arm. It takes a bit if work to spread the small amount over the entire area, but if I use more it doesn’t completely absorb.
The body mousse leaves shimmer on the skin. There are a lot of shimmer particles, but they are very fine, so you don’t end up looking like a 12 year old on the way to a school dance. I'm not a big fan of shimmery products during the day, but I've used this when I'm just going to class, and didn't feel like it was too obvious. I’m still more likely to save it for evenings though, or maybe a beach day.

Experience
Packaging
The kit comes in a cute cardboard box. It has pictures of the products and a snow woman on the front, with a pale pink background decorated with snowflakes. The back has a description of the products, and their ingredient lists. The same information is repeated on the back of the body wash and mousse. The packaging is recyclable.
The body mousse and body wash are both packaged in 4 oz bottles made from clear plastic, decoarated with snow flakes. They have flip top lids. They're smaller than a lot of body products, so they would be better for travel, but they aren't actually travel sized.
These are not sexual products, and they're sold at stores like Sephora, so you don't need to worry about anything inappropriate on the packaging, or someone figuring out that they came from a sex shop.
The products expire 12 months from the time they are opened.
Cake Beauty does not use parabens in their products. The ingredients for the Body Mousse and Body Wash are included on the product page for this kit, but the Lip Gloss ingredients got cut off. Please see the Diamon Lip Gloss page for it's ingredients.
