Mint, Berry & Lemon...lip balms.
My husband was pretty proud of himself for finding egg-shaped lip balms for my Easter basket. However, we are both less than happy with the performance. While they do not moisturize my dry, chapped lips, they do have some unexpected perks. They are great excersisers- drop one & see how many calories you use trying to rescue it. Great for juggling (see use 1). AND, it retains its shape when your purse is placed on the floorboard under the heater vent in your truck.

My husband purchased these three lip balms for me for Easter. They were packaged with a cardboard backed plastic bubble, the cardboard backing has the usual ingredients list and other claims written on it. The lip balm comes inside a soft, rubbery feeling egg and is accessed by twisting the top off. There is a flat spot on the base, however I always manage to not hit it when I set mine down, so it rolls off whatever table I am setting it on.
Due to the shape, it is hard to get the balm precisely on my lips ad I end up with balm smear. I do recommend taking your finger and wiping the balm off the outside areas of your mouth where you do not want any balm. I have three flavors, Lemon Drop- which has an SPF of 15, Sweet Mint and Strawberry Sorbet.
Lemon Drop is UVA and UBB resistant and contains Octinoxate and Oxybenzone for sunscreens. The SPF 15 will help for burning but is a light sunscreen so reapplication is advised. It smells like the lemon Girl Scout cookies and the taste is light with a waxy residue. The aroma is light and lasts for about 15 minutes. I did not like the film it left in my mouth or on my lips.
Sweet Mint has a strong menthol/mint aroma that lasts for about 25 minutes. It does have a slight cooling effect, which is barely noticeable but pleasant. This tastes minty and does not leave a residue or film on your lips. It did not seem to penetrate deep enough to prevent chapping, though. I was pretty disappointed in this one, I expected it to be a favorite.
Strawberry Sorbet smells like the strawberry flavored Bonne Bell lip glosses from when you were small. The aroma lasts about 15-20 minutes and the flavor is non-existent. This one seemed to penetrate the best, however the effects were very short lived and if I would have liked the product, I would have had to reapply every 30-45 minutes for long lasting protection.
These lip balms are basic drugstore variety balms, sort lived and not very effective. They do not leave a thick feeling like Chapstick, but do leave a waxy feeling to your lips prior to penetrating the skin. They are not effective at preventing my windburned or chapped lips like the Baico Me by Principessa, but will work in a pinch. If you can find them after they roll of the table or counter. Overall, this line of products was a bit let down for me.
They are Gluten-free, not tested on animals and claims to be 100% natural and 95% organic.

Follow-up commentary
1 month after original review
I lost one of my balms when it fell out of my hands at the supermarket parking lot. It rolled out into the path of an oncoming car and was run over. These are a unique design and product, but they do not work for me as well as other balms I have tried.

Not tested on animals is a big plus for me! (P.S. I think you missed a typo at "sort lived" instead of "short" in case you wanted to fix it)

I'm sorry they were a miss for you! I have the strawberry and the tangerine. I am happy with them! I just use them at bedtime. I use lipstick during the day. Nice review though!
